About Tempus Resource

Tempus Resource is a platform for Resource Portfolio Management. Purpose-built for resource forecasting and capacity planning, Tempus is used by many of the world’s leading organizations to forecast, track and manage their resources while uncovering real-options for strategic flexibility and agility. Tempus is designed to scale and support organizations that have resource pools ranging in size from 100 to 50,000. Tempus Resource is cloud-based solution but can also be deployed on-premise or to a private cloud.

Tempus includes a range of proprietary and differentiating capabilities like advanced what-if analysis and scenario planning capabilities, bulk project and bulk resource forecasting with multiuser, concurrent access. Organizations can choose how they wish to plan their resources as Tempus supports hours, cost, FTE, FTE % and mandays-based resource forecasting.

Tempus also includes a range of project and project portfolio capabilities such as project intake, project financials, milestone planning, comprehensive snapshotting, resource request workflows, as well as project actuals and timesheets for the capture of actuals. Pros:

I love how this program allows me and my team to work in our day to day projects as well as our long term needs.

Cons:

There is a learning curve but once you get used to it, this becomes pretty easy.

Very easy to use Does not require significant training Connectivity to other tools

Cons:

Reports can be significantly improved if we consider that the main objective of the tool is to help improve utilization of the resources. Capacity planning tool can be added Skill matrix at resource level would be a great addition
