About Digisonics

Digisonics is a clinical information and medical imaging solution that provides PACS and structured reporting. It caters to professionals in the field of cardiology, radiology, obstetrics and gynecology. The solution offers real-time remote image analysis accompanied by measurement and editing capabilities.

Digisonics provides customized report templates that can be modified by the end user without requiring reconfiguration to the database or code. The solution allows for modifications to the calculations package, so users can create their own off-line measurement protocols or use the available default measurements.

The data-mining module offers a search tool that allows users to search by a single field or combination of fields within the database. Reports and analytics are built into the search engine and the reports can be exported from the solution. Images or measurements can be burned onto a CD/DVD.

Digisonics is a HIPPA-compliant solution that can integrate with multiple OEM imaging vendors. Support is offered via the customer portal.

Digisonics - outdated software package

Pros:

The reports are easy to read, data entry is straight-forward, and reports are easy to customize.

Cons:

The fees are way too high. This is after a large initial purchase price. The system was fine 10 years ago, but it is far surpassed by any of today's EMR offerings. We are replacing it this year with a full blown EMR, as it is hindering our change to a paperless office. It also does not interface well with newer products.
