Probably the easiest tool for recording and sharing videos

Overall experience is very positive. They always seem to be innovating and adding new features. It's also a lot cheaper than other tools out there and seems to have more features.

Pros:

I love how easy it is to record and share videos. It makes communication so much easier and helps me provide more context and explanation with a quick recording. The new ai features are very useful. I can upload any video and get it instantly transcribed with a summary.

Cons:

The editor is good, but there are a few bits that would make it better. Being able to stitch together different videos would be great.

Its better value for money. Looms AI features are an extra cost of top of that as well.

They have no facility to edit videos offline, but I was told it will be coming soon.

We needed a simple way to create and share videos for different use cases—internal updates, product walkthroughs, and lead generation. Before Dadan, this meant juggling multiple tools for recording, editing, hosting, and embedding forms. Now, we do it all in one place. It’s saved us time, budget, and helped our marketing and product teams move faster.

Pros:

Dadan has become our go-to tool for anything video-related. We use the screen recorder almost daily to share updates asynchronously and create product tutorials. It’s easy to use and saves us a lot of back-and-forth. What I really appreciate is that it also comes with built-in video hosting, so we don’t need to pay for an extra tool. One of the smartest things we did was turn our lead magnets into short screen recordings and add forms directly on the videos. This helped us collect qualified leads much faster.

Cons:

The video editing interface, while powerful, could be a bit more intuitive for new users. It takes a little getting used to. I’d also love to see more native integrations with the tools we already use.

The camera overlay on the screen is really great but mainly the ease of access to select an external camera or microphone to be used as the source as a lot of platforms make this difficult.

Cons:

The audio noise suppression effects are really great but when playing a video gets very lost, barely an issue as you would just use headphones but just my only slightly negative thought
