About Flocknote

Flocknote is a church management solution that helps churches and ministries communicate with members via email or text messages. The platform enables administrators to send messages to members via Facebook or Twitter, manage volunteers, track donations, process payments and organize fundraisers.

The member management system allows managers to capture and store members’ contact information, photos and documents in a centralized repository. Flocknote offers a host of features including communications management, reporting, data synchronization, activity dashboard, user profiles and more. Additionally, church workers can utilize mobile applications to view or edit member profiles, generate payment receipts and receive real-time email notifications for members’ responses or replies.

Flocknote comes with an API, which facilitates integration with several third-party platforms such as eCatholic and Sheenomo. The application is available to users for free and on a monthly subscription basis. Support is extended via documentation, FAQ, email and video tutorials.

Pros:
I love that Flocknote has designed their product with church-based users in mind; the templates and defaults prioritize the needs and address the challenges of church leaders. I also appreciate how Flocknote provides excellent, individualized customer service and is constantly adding and improving features.
Cons:
I'd love to see a more robust feature where users with landlines can receive audio versions of the messages.

Reasons for choosing Flocknote

Maturity of the product and integrated people-management solution.

Pros:
Being able to contact large groups, and multiple groups at a time, as well as single people is invaluablee. Having the ability to see who has read the message is vitally important. Being able to use in conjunction with Lifeteen. Is a game changer.
Cons:
Not being able to pick up the phone abs talk to someone about concerns is frustrating. I have also had several issues with payments being lost or not credited.

Reasons for choosing Flocknote

Price. Flexibility, functions, word of mouth.

Vendor Response

Pros:
Ease of use. Well organized and stable.
Cons:
I'm particularly interested in next development cycle (import, reports, receipts..) I would like to be able to duplicate batches from a previous month. We have electronic giving for 55 individuals who give the same amount monthly. Additionally I'd like to be able modify fund designations as well as remove designations where there is no $ amount. Renaming or removing batches would be helpful as well as exporting batches in its entirety. Recording of fund campaigns would be a nice addition.

Reasons for choosing Flocknote

Communicate piece. We are still evaluating Flocknote People.

Vendor Response

Hiya Brad -- thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review! Good news -- we are currently working on some new developments, including some of the features you mentioned you'd like to see. I will share all your suggestions with our development team as they work on those new features. I appreciate your feedback! :)

Pros:
ability to reach people either by email or text, the ability to have a discussion, the ability to have an easy signup experience. Easy to generate notes and get them out.
Cons:
The icons are somewhat confusing. What they mean and where they are located. The cost is our big tripping point only because we are not a parish, but a free standing social action ministry.

Reasons for switching to Flocknote

Insightly is too much for what we need and they are unresponsive to "all the pebbles in the shoe" issues.

Vendor Response

Hi Walter. I appreciate the time you took to leave us a review. I'm glad you've found it easy to generate notes and that your members have had an easy signup experience. You mentioned some confusion with the icons and price has been an issue, so I'd be happy to discuss this further and get more details to help you in the best way. Would you mind reaching out to help@flocknote.com? I appreciate it! :)

Communication Within the Flock

Overall I am very satisfied with Flocknote. The group that uses it numbers over 75 now, so we use the paid option, and it's worth every penny for the increased and streamlined communication.

Pros:
Flocknote is a messaging app that allows you to connect with people in your church more easily. Since signing our ward up for the software, communication has become a breeze. There are people in my church I didn't even think to reach out to, but because we're all on the same system, I can find their contact info and let them know what's happening. It's made my life as a visiting teacher much easier.
Cons:
My one gripe (if you could call it that) is a lack of integrated Bitmoji software. A lot of the kids in my church (and their moms) use Bitmoji in regular text conversations, so it'd be great to have that option built into the app. Other than that, it's great!

Vendor Response

Thanks for this fantastic review! Haha I'm a Bitmoji fan myself, so I've passed this info along to the team. Thanks for coming to us with your honest feedback and ideas. Feel free to reach out to us at help@flocknote.com if you have any others. :)

Cons:
I used Flocknote previously 3 years ago when I was in NYC. The product has become more feature rich since then. I just have to take the time to learn the new features and to roll it out to my staff and ministries.

Vendor Response

Well hello there, Liam -- thank you for the helpful review! We're glad to hear that you've found it easy to use! Pros:
I can send a note to all of the ministry groups I head up without having to be at my PC. I can access via my phone to send an email, approve a newsletter, or text reminder the day of an event. The replies can come back to me via the app, the dashboard in the browser, or my email. Also, I can go back to see a previous conversation without having to launch my mail program and search for it among my many different folders I might have filed it under.
Cons:
I really wish it had an option to add an event to your calendar with the notes. While we a can notify the users, they still have to add the event into their phone or email calendars manually instead of clicking in the message. Right now I try to add a link to an ICS file instead

Pros:
Flocknote provides an email and text solution for your church, and they do a good job of it. Another pro is that you are able to have ono-to-one text conversations through the system. This is a huge benefit that you need form your texting provider.
Cons:
Two things: the first is, it was a little pricey for our ministry. As we began to look around, we found other solutions that offered equal or better features for less cost. Also, FlockNote does not offer text giving. We wanted a provider that would allow us to communicate to our members as well as provide a simple way for them to be able to give via text.

Vendor Response

Thank you for those kind words, Philip! We're so thankful you gave us a try :) What software did you all find worked better for your church? Blessings, Kait Rawley Flocknote Marketing Help@flocknote.com

Hi Theodore! I'm so glad you are enjoying Flocknote so far :) Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for providing us with feedback! It's so very helpful to us.
