About Sympli

Sympli is a cloud-based and on-premise version control system that allows developers and designers to collaborate without overwriting or losing work. The platform allows designers to seamlessly export design specifications from approved design files. Additionally, the platform also combines colors, text styles, fonts and space in a single library to make it easier for designers to maintain visual consistency across multiple projects.

Pros:

Very easy to share all designs and logic with developers plus due to its online availability I can access it from anywhere. Easy to install and plugin and for story board it's only drag and drop.

Cons:

Some times slowness is frustrating and to setup manual measurement it is difficult for UI designer which needs to be fixed.

Pros:

this tolls is very simple especially for ios it so simple just install plugin in xcode and then connect with the project then you can iplement design jus drag and drop to the story board

Cons:

import end export image is very simple, and feature for generate color is very cool, and priview of design in mobile app is very useable

Pros:

Saves a lot of time with dev handoffs and specs. I've gotten quite a few companies to start using it now with all my freelance and contract work.

Cons:

The new pricing structure. It ends up being quite a bit more than Zeplin with this structure for our company and makes it more difficult and time consuming to add and remove users. I've used it for so long and gotten so many companies to start using it, I was grandfathered in for a good deal on pricing, but with the new structure, they no longer give me my pricing. Because of this, I have begin to transition us away from Sympli, but it will take some time.

Reasons for choosing Sympli

It's what I was use to and did have a good price and other products didn't offer same features in app, where now they have started to.

Pros:

I like that it is very simple to use. It alerts you when there are changes in any project you have access to and downloading assets is very easy and simple.

Cons:

What I like the least is that sometimes, in a complex interface, it is difficult to select the specific element you need.

Overall easy to use, and accomplishes what we need for our projects. I like that there are different options for downloading assets.

Cons:

Sometimes the manual measuring is difficult. If our UX designer doesn't set up the individual objects to click on, trying to use the ruler is a pain.

In general good experience, just sometimes found get a little tricky to get the information I need.

I'm always looking at the last mockup version. I don't need the Sketch licence.

I don't need the full licence of Sketch. Informations are distributed all over the team in one place, and none need to worry to check if it' updated.

Cons:

In this last revisions on some objects it was saying Black for a Gray text: I had to ask for the right color. When I need to try different times to select what I'm looking for, but this is not that big problem.
