The plan includes Odoo Online hosting and the flexibility to choose from hundreds of available apps, including Odoo Studio for customization.

Pros:

  • Cost-effective: As a free plan, it enables businesses to explore Odoo's capabilit...
ies without any financial commitment. - **Unlimited users:** Accommodates teams of any size, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders can access the chosen app. - **Unlimited support and maintenance:** All plans include unlimited support, hosting, and maintenance. **Cons:** - **Limited functionality:** With access to only one app, businesses may find it challenging to streamline their entire operation. - **Limited customizations:** While Odoo Studio is available as the one app, it’s not automatically included for customizations if you choose a different app. - **Scalability concerns:** As the company grows and requires more features and apps, upgrading to a paid plan becomes necessary. **Standard Plan** The Standard Plan is a comprehensive solution for businesses looking to leverage the full power of Odoo. Starting at $24.90 per user, per month when billed annually ($31.10 per user, per month billed monthly), this plan provides access to all Odoo apps, and unlimited support, hosting, and maintenance. With Odoo Online hosting and a free trial available, companies can easily adopt and scale their Odoo implementation. **Pros:** - **Extensive app ecosystem:** Gain access to Odoo's entire app suite, enabling businesses to streamline processes across departments. - **Reliable support:** Benefit from unlimited assistance, ensuring that any issues or questions are promptly addressed. - **Scalable infrastructure:** Odoo Online hosting provides a secure and scalable environment for growth. **Cons:** - **Per-user pricing:** As the team expands, the monthly cost increases, which may become a budgeting challenge for larger organizations. - **Learning curve:** With a wide range of apps available, users may require time to familiarize themselves with the system's full capabilities. - **Customization limitations:** While the Standard Plan offers a comprehensive set of features, businesses with unique needs may require further customization. **Custom Plan** For enterprises with more complex requirements, Odoo's Custom Plan offers a tailored solution starting at $37.40 per user, per month when billed annually ($46.80 per user, per month when billed monthly). This plan includes all the features of the Standard Plan, along with advanced options such as Odoo Studio, multi-company, and external API. The Custom Plan also offers the flexibility to choose between Odoo Online, on-premise hosting, and Odoo.sh hosting (Odoo.sh hosting cost is not included in the starting price). **Pros:** - **Tailor-made solution:** With Odoo Studio and multi-company features, businesses can create a customized environment that aligns with their unique processes. - **Flexible hosting:** Choose the hosting option that best suits your organization's security, compliance, and performance needs. - **Integration capabilities:** The external API allows seamless integration with third-party systems, enhancing the overall functionality of the Odoo ecosystem. **Cons:** - **Higher cost:** The advanced features and flexibility come at a premium, which may strain the budgets of smaller organizations. - **Implementation complexity:** Customizing and integrating Odoo with existing systems may require specialized skills and resources. - **Maintenance overhead:** With greater customization comes increased responsibility for maintaining and updating the system over time. **Additional Information** Odoo's pricing plans come with a 12-month discount for initial users, making it more affordable for businesses to adopt the platform. However, it's essential to note that Odoo.sh hosting costs and implementation services are not included in these plans. To ensure a successful implementation, companies should consider partnering with an experienced Odoo service provider or allocating internal resources for training and support. **Conclusion** After analyzing Odoo's pricing structure, it's evident that the company offers a range of options designed to cater to businesses of various sizes and needs. - **For startups and small businesses:** The One App Free Plan is an attractive choice, providing access to a single app with unlimited users at no cost. While this plan may suffice for those with minimal requirements, its limitations can quickly become apparent as a business grows. The Standard Plan offers a more comprehensive solution, granting access to all apps and essential features at a reasonable per-user monthly fee. - **For medium to large enterprises:** The Custom Plan is the most suitable option, particularly for organizations with complex requirements and a need for advanced features. This plan includes access to all apps, multiple hosting options, Odoo Studio, multi-company functionality, and external API. Although it comes with a higher per-user monthly cost, the added flexibility and customization options make it a worthwhile investment for larger businesses. When selecting a plan, companies should carefully consider factors such as the number of users, required apps and features, hosting preferences, and budget. By aligning these elements with the appropriate pricing plan, businesses can optimize their use of Odoo and achieve the best return on investment. It's also crucial to anticipate future growth and choose a plan that not only addresses current needs but also allows for seamless scaling as the company expands.

Odoo!! Ohh, do? Yes, you should do.

My overall experience with Odoo is phenomenal. Everything you need from the start of your vision to your exit plan. If you have multiple businesses or different ventures, you can manage everything as the admin without it interfering with each business. It’s really flexible and lets you organize things exactly how you want. I like to think of it like making a sandwich. Maybe you want bread, maybe you want lettuce instead whatever works for you, it’s all there. That’s the beauty of Odoo: it adapts to your creative vision. On top of that, you can create your own apps, integrate your own tools, and truly make the platform work for you and or your clients. You really can’t go wrong with it. I personally use one account for everything I do, and as someone with experience building and selling businesses, managing warehouses, handling finance, and helping others scale their operations, I need a system that keeps me organized without feeling overwhelmed. Odoo delivers that, especially because of their free trial you get access to the full platform with no limitations.

Pros:
What I love most about Odoo is how powerful and simple it is at the same time. It’s affordable, customizable, and gives you everything you need to run your business in one place. Finances, websites, inventory, employees, task management … seriously it’s all there and fully integrated. And here’s the real secret: it might sound like a lot, but it’s not. You can make it as simple or as advanced as you want. Three steps. Click. Click. Boom. You’re in. Odoo is built for continuous improvement. The easier the system, the faster the results. The world overcomplicates everything, but Odoo gives you clarity. One icon, one login, everything right there. And the support team is solid; they reach out and help you stay aligned so your business flows effortlessly. I use Odoo to manage multiple ventures, and it’s allowed me to help entrepreneurs, startups, and even 100 million dollar companies run with full transparency and confidence.
Cons:
The only downside is that the trial eventually ends! I was like, “D#$n, I knew it was too good to be true!” Honestly, there really isn’t anything not to like about it. Side note: They will let you know ahead of time and help you get the paid version, which is the same version! of course you know they have to pay for the space and whatever else and employees and all that stuff and make it make sense. And a good thing about it is it’s not like the other platforms like when your trial period over all your stuff is locked down and you have to pay for it right then and you can’t access your stuff which causes a domino effect … they work with you and Your stuff is still there and it’s not shut down … 404

Reasons for switching to Odoo

It’s too much going on. It’s not as customizable as you may want it to be and then it was just way too expensive

My experience with odoo can be described in 1 word a nightmare. No one should be in this situation waking up to see that the fully paid subscription account with database and pos completly deleted without prior notice and althoug im the admin of the odoo shop account. But what i didnt know that the odoo partner i signed with have scamed me and created my odoo shop under there company accouny which is a clear data ownership Violation.

Pros:
Online pos system. Accounting and easy to navigate. All features are available in this software it only lacks a good customer service.
Cons:
My Odoo database — which I paid for and which should have been created under my company’s ownership — was created and controlled entirely under ADG’s ( odoo authorised partner) internal account. Because of this, ADG was able to delete my database and remove my access without any authorization. This situation raises several extremely serious points: 1. Data Ownership Violation: Despite paying for a full-year Odoo subscription, my database was never created under my CompanyID. It was created under the partner’s internal account, which contradicts Odoo’s customer ownership policy. Odoo support didnt show the minimum responsibility regarding this big error and considered it as an inconvenience situation and the only thing they offered is to create a new account and told me to redo the wholework myself again. Since my contract with ADG is paused due to delay in project delivery several times.

Reasons for choosing Odoo

I thought I'd have a professional program, but it is almost a scam. I paid for a yearly subscription and invested money with an Odoo partner, and they deleted my account with a click. Odoo considers this issue an inconvenience. My subscription is on, but I have no account. Can anyone imagine this error? It is only because I live in Africa that this can happen. If I were in Europe or the USA, I would have sued Odoo and their stupid partner for this deadly error.

Reasons for switching to Odoo

I wanted something global and odoo has it

Pros:
Seems like a great idea. Lots of modules that can help a smaller business look like an Enterprise business. I was tired of paying $65 a month to Intuit and $700 a year to DocuSign. There's got to be a better way, right?
Cons:
I talked to a salesperson. I wasn't sure what his objective was other than to get me to sign up for a paid version and sign a 5 year deal. Whoa, Pilgrim! He was a jack of all trades and master of none, meaning he did not have detailed understanding of how the accounting module worked. Basic stuff like split categorization. I told him I wanted the free version to see how I liked the software and then I could move my European susidiary on if it all worked out. Once I clicked the link he gave me I could not figure out how to use the softward and I gave up.

Reasons for choosing Odoo

It looked simple, they have a glizty webpage and support/sales people. The only trouble is the whole thing is build on a pile of sand at the beach.

Reasons for switching to Odoo

Save money, simplify vendors and move to a single platform for multiple enterprise systems.

My experience with Odoo has been very disappointing. Once you become a paid client, it is extremely difficult to receive direct and proper customer support. If you encounter any issues with your account, instead of solving them, they simply redirect you to their website, leaving you without real assistance. Ironically, before subscribing, Odoo will call you all the time with demos, offers, and follow-ups. But once you pay, the attention drastically changes. There is no easy way to contact someone directly to help with technical or account-related problems.

Pros:
Odoo is a brilliant concept for a software. It effortlessly combines a range of in-house and external softwares and tools for the running of your business, website and e-market or associated functions. It is easy to use and fun to bolt on extra tools
Cons:
I think it requires and existing contextual knowledge of what makes it powerful. This may hinder from others adopting it, or whether a permanent and strong internet connection is reality for everyone all the time.

Odoo FAQs

  • What exactly does Odoo do?

Odoo gives users a long list of business apps they can choose from to do business more efficiently. You can think of it like a business app buffet. Some organizations may only want an accounting app, a website, and an inventory management app. Others may need several more solutions, such as HR, e-commerce, and rental management. Odoo covers many bases.

  • What is the disadvantage of using Odoo?

Odoo users are limited in their ability to create complex customizations within the tool. To implement these, you may need to hire an expert developer. For some, Odoo also presents a relatively steep learning curve. For example, integrating multiple apps so they automatically share data can be challenging for users just getting used to the platform.

  • Why is Odoo so popular?

Odoo’s popularity stems from its deep suite of business apps—over 70 in all. This means a business can start with a few apps and then add others as they digitalize more processes. Its modularity also makes it useful, especially for businesses that may only need a few business apps instead of a larger, horizontal ERP.

  • Is Odoo really free?

Yes, Odoo has a free version, referred to as One App Free Plan. You can choose from any of Odoo’s apps to access for free with unlimited users. It also includes unlimited support, hosting, and maintenance; however, there are limitations, in that you are restricted to only one app. In addition, while you can choose Odoo Studio as the one app, customizations through Odoo Studio are not included in the free plan.

  • How safe is Odoo?

Odoo protects user data using encryption and secure cloud servers. As a result, user data is kept safe from attackers unable to bypass Odoo’s encryption protocols. At the same time, it’s always a good idea to maintain data backups in case there’s an issue with one of Odoo’s cloud service providers.
