About Oracle PeopleSoft

PeopleSoft IT Asset Management (ITAM) is a cloud-based solution, which helps businesses manage the entire IT asset lifecycle, streamline equipment provisioning and send alerts about expiration dates of leases.

The application's interactive workspace enables users to record hardware/software inventory details and track the deployment of authorized and unauthorized licenses. IT administrators can collect usage data and perform a configurable rules-based reconciliation of discovered data to asset repository. Team members can identify unused assets and configure them during deployment and staging. Code mappings can be in used in external settings to ensure consistent terminology in asset reporting.

PeopleSoft IT Asset Management offers integration with several third-party suppliers and inventory discovery applications. Pricing is available on request and support is offered via documentation and online measures.

Pros:

I like having 1 place to update personal details, review job titles and compensation, request PTO and submit requests such as gym or college expenses reimbursements.

Cons:

I can't really think of anything negative about PeopleSoft. It's easy to use and I wouldn't want it to change.

Reliable and robust

I have found PeopleSoft to be a reliable tool as a higher education employee. The HR functions work very well, and the favorites and search bars help remedy any UI path concerns. PeopleSoft has been reliable and we have found it to work well.

Pros:

We have used Oracle PeopleSoft as the basis for our system for at least 15 years. It has been used as student-facing software as well as for HR purposes. It has been adaptable to a higher education setting and has generally been very reliable.

Cons:

There can be a learning curve to using PeopleSoft and there are some paths to pages that aren’t the most intuitive. The favorites function works well to remedy this. I have seen some downtime during peaks of traffic, but this could be with well-over 20,000 users logging into the network at once. I am unsure as to the architecture, of the set up, so this may actually be more of a local server issue within our system.

I have done work on peopleosoft financial as developer .Oracle has given almost everything in ERP. What is good in this tool it make easy to track any organization work.Good thing is it makes easy to understand application for both i.e for developer and for client because both knows the functional of application so client easily can tell what is exact their requirement and as developer knows about ERP so for them it is easy to do changes what exact client want.For any organization it helps to reduce extra cost and time on organization finance system or HR system because Peopesoft ERP handle everything.

Cons:

it is very old ERP now I prefer to select workday or fusion over peoplsoft because they have lot of new features which make easy to understand ERP but in peoplesoft it is little bit time taking process to understand functional. Many bugs you will get and for them Oracle has not given any patches in new release.
