Pros:

Betterworks was used during structured performance evaluations. I appreciated how it facilitated two-way feedback with my manager and peer reviews, which made goal-setting and career planning more engaging.

Cons:

The interface was clean, but at times the platform seemed more HR-centric and less customised for field engineers. Nevertheless, it was effective in visualising progress and aligning personal goals with organisational objectives.

Goal Tracking and Alignment

We attempted to implement this kind of process in another software that was not purpose built for tracking goals. This software is definitely an investment for an organization that wants to see true alignment and progress.

Pros:

This allows for a comprehensive top to bottom alignment of organizational goals. You can track everyones progress, pending they update it appropriately.

Cons:

Not always the most intuitive to use and training is required. When goals go past due you cannot delete them if they had become irrelevant, you have to go in and edit them heavily.

It was not meant for goal tracking but product and marketing management.

Prior to making any false promises, ensure that your account manager are trained to help your customer and not mislead them. Happy to share my recent encounter with BW sales team and how I was mislead to purchase the team edition, guess what it doesn’t come with JIRA integration?! Why I wasn’t told this? I asked for a refund, guess what we don’t have a refund policy! [SENSITIVE CONTENT] in order for you to win the SaaS space, you really need to review your account management processes/policies. After being one of the biggest promoters of BW, I can tell you now I am one of the biggest deteractors and I will continue to share this bad experience in every public forum! #stayawayfrombetterworks

Their account managers sucks, [SENSITIVE CONTENT] I highly recommend working for a 2nd hand car dealership

Betterworks has a clean & easy to navigate interface & layout. I thoroughly enjoyed that it has a lot of added value for the prices they ask for subscriptions. Their customer support features are not only helpful, but extensive & on point.

Cons:

Their subscription peices couldve been slightly better than what they are right now. However, theyre still not too expensive that they take away from the overall value of the app itself.

Keeps goals clear and simple

My overall experience with Betterworks has been really positive. It keeps me accountable and makes communication with the team about goals so much clearer. It’s not perfect, but it’s a tool I actually see myself using long-term instead of abandoning after a couple of weeks.

What I like the most about Betterworks is how it helps keep everyone on the same page. The goal tracking is super clear, and it makes it way easier to align with teammates without feeling lost. It actually motivates me to check in more often and stay focused on performance.

Cons:

The platform can feel a little overwhelming at first. There are so many features that it takes time to figure out what you really need. I also think the rewards/gift card system could be a bit more engaging—it feels kind of basic compared to other tools.

A great product for mid-size to enterprise companies
