About Thesaurus Payroll Manager

Thesaurus Payroll Manager is an on-premise payroll solution suitable for small to midsize payroll bureaus in the Ireland and the UK. The software enables accountants and bookkeepers to process payroll for their clients.

Users can send payslips via email using password-protected PDFs. Weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll schedules are supported. Users can perform net-to-gross calculations, automate benefit-in-kind calculations, illness benefits, and flat rate or percentage based pension deductions, including employer contributions.

Thesaurus Payroll Manager will automatically adjust deductions for holiday weeks, and users can include taxable and non-taxable additions, allowable and non-allowable deduction headings and electronic payments with SEPA compatibility. A staff leave planner is also included. Users can run various reports, and help sheets in multiple languages are available. Payroll data can be exported to Sage Line 50, Quickbooks and Xero.

Thesaurus Payroll Manager includes phone and email support. Pricing is per tax year, per licence.

Best labour saving product on the makrket

I went from excel spread sheets to Thesaurus. It was like a different world had been opened up to me.

Pros:

The updates are great, Covid was all taken care of. Free webinars for our changing needs.

Cons:

Nothing. It ticks all the boxes for me. I love it.

Pros:

I like it's simplicity most of all. It really is fool proof! Also the access to internal and external information is very useful. Having videos to show how to process a particular payment or deduction must be very helpful for new users.

Cons:

There is very little I don't like about Thesaurus Payroll. The only thing I can think of is that when you update the payroll taxes with payments or EWSS PRSI credits it kicks you back to the main menu and you have to go back in again to see the updated figures.

Pros:

It's very effecient and easy to use and any issues are dealt with by the customer support team straight away For example the constant changes in Covid Supports. The customer support team were excellent in sorting out payroll issues and their online webinars to boost with Revenue Officials giving expert advice.

Cons:

There is nothing I do not like about the Thesaurus.

The most important member of our TEAM ........... Thesaurus

I am very confident using Thesaurus Payroll Manager as I know the Support Line are only a phone call away. Their knowledge and experience is top class. I am always dealt with efficiently. Really great service from our end. Payroll is simple for me to execute, but when I find myself in trouble, my heart nearly misses a beat, I rely on the support team for that dig out, there HELP is very much appreciated.

Pros:

It's so easy to use, the reporting is fantastic, we utilise the weekly "View PAYE, USC and PRSI workings" to inform staff of their deductions. It is very informative and encourages our new staff to take ownership of their tax credits and visit gov.ie. We also use the weekly reports and revenue reporting options. I would also commend the fantastic Covid-19 updates and webinars. Even though we were not directly affected by the changes, we learnt alot from the on-line sessions, we learnt from others sharing information. Thanks to all involved.

Cons:

Nothing really, but reporting in real time means we have to prioritise the Payroll Task on a weekly basis.

Would never consider using any other payroll

We have had Thesaurus for many years. We have never had any problems at all. On the rare occassion we need to contact them, they are easy to reach - their helpdesk isnt busy usually, as the software is stable, and never any "glitches", and its so easy to use, you wont need actually need support - but its free and part of the cost price anyway.

Very easy to use. They were particularly excellent when we were operating different Goverment schemes during the Covid lockdown, and beyond. These schemes were difficult to understand, but Thesaurus made it as simple as possible to both understand and to operate, and providing reports to reconile all my data. Generally it is a very easy package to use, and there are no hidden costs. Payslips can be printed onto plain paper for file. Our employees are mainly on sites away from the office, so having ability to email payslips is great. Also, any report or payslip can be reprinted at any time. Useful if something gets mislaid

Cons:

Its not free! Thats really the only improvement they could make. Havent found anything to dislike.

Very Easy to use

Pros:

Love that eachyear you just update the new years software with the previous years details, eg employeeds etc. Software automatically updates employees net take home pay as tax changes occur having searched the Revenue website beforehand and updating each file as it needs

Cons:

cant seem to imput a net figure and let the software figure out what the gross should be. other than that nothing

Pros:

Having RPN updates at the touch of a button and knowing I have connection with revenue gives peace of mind and makes the quarterly returns so easy. The system is easy to navigate but if you get stuck help is only a click away

Cons:

It would be useful if the holiday calculator and Holiday planner were integrated as when entering information to one it does not copy to the other

It is just a easy and straight to the point payroll package and very explanatory and we get our payroll done in a professional way and all our documents are easy to find .

Cons:

I can't say we have any dislikes about the Thesaurus Payroll we have been using it for many years now.
