Pros:
Both the HivePass team and product are responsive, useful, and great to work with. The product is constantly improving and the team is highly responsive. Performance has been consistent, and any questions or edge cases we’ve encountered were handled quickly by their support team. That level of responsiveness builds real confidence, especially when integrating a platform into core operations. Onboarding was smooth, the UI is clean and thoughtfully designed, and it’s clear a lot of attention has been paid to user workflow. Finding all this in an app run by, optimized for, and enabling mountain bikers is a rare gift.
Cons:
As with any currently growing products, there are minor functionality gaps. These gaps have, however, mostly already been defined by the team and are publicly vote-able and prioritizable by customers, which is great!

It has been a really positive experience and we have been provided a lot of support. I was initially worried about importing our members from our prior system and that was a much smoother transition than I expected.

I love that members can manage their information and see the chapter's information in an app, that they receive a digital membership card, and can access their member benefits through the app with their card.
Cons:
It would be great to be able to export more data and I'm looking forward to having the unique email servers for the email campaign and additional functionality being built out for features like events in the future.

Reasons for switching to Hivepass

Our memberships were previously managed through another organization utilizing CiviCRM. We had been wanting improvements to the system and grew to be in a position to manage our own memberships.

Pros:
It’s a really great simple system which helps busy volunteer led organisations to take the hassle out of membership management. It’s super easy for our members to use, and our membership has increased as a result of using Hivepass.
Cons:
There isn’t all the functionality, so we still use social media like Instagram and Strava for some things, we maintain a website and sell merchandise independently. But that’s ok, Hivepass does exactly what it needs to do.

You can tell they care about the quality of the product and want to make sure it's accomplishing what we want it for. They are attentive to the needs of the organizations making use of the app and it's only going to get better.

Customer service is great. It's always intimidating to learn new software but they walked us through everything and made set up and launch a breeze. As far as app functionality, love the easy customization options and features that help make membership more than a superficial title.
Cons:
Any recommendations we have that would make the app better are either already on the docket or have been freely shared with the developers to look into.

Saving us time & money - every trail orgs dream come true!

The level of service that HivePass provides really can't be overstated. When we have questions or requests, responses are quick and thoughtful (not canned or chatbot responses) but real and effective. Our first year has been a really great experience, and we look forward to growing our membership and serving our community better with Hivepass for years to come. The app saves us so much administrative time and has been well received by our members. The push notifications are a huge bonus, especially in a world where algorithms are ever-changing and our content gets harder for members to see. Many of our members aren't on the more traditional social media channels, so having another way to communicate is essential. Thanks to the team (and to Flon specifically for being such a solid dude). We are very excited about the future!

-very intuitive to use -reliable app -good price point -good functionality for 90% of our admin tasks -fast & efficient customer service -clear and concise start-up guides -transparent development timeline -responsiveness to feature requests/updates
Cons:
-it's hard to really identify things that we don't like about Hivepass. We have a small list of "nice to haves," and everything on that list is in some stage of development.

The whole process has been extremely smooth. The developers have gone out of their way to customise the integration for our specific needs having to integrate with Auscycling. All suggested features have been added or are on the list of future updates

This is a must-have for all Mountain Bike Clubs. So many great features, including push notifications, trail status updates and news! The usability of the app and the app admin console is super simple and user-friendly. The admin console gives you all your member data instantly! Very clear and easy to use. Having membership options directly in the app has increased our membership numbers!

Nothing the app is great and a huge value add for our mountain bike club

The onboarding was seamless, and the membership management is really well thought out. [sensitive content hidden] support was amazing.
Cons:
The only bug i found was that the unique link didn't work on my computer. Had to restart it to get it to work. Which meant I sent out the wrong code to our membership base.

Outstanding Service and Support

We have been using hivepass for the past 2 years - it has simplified our processes for taking donations (park pass) and makes financial reconciliations a breeze. We used to employ staff to to do this, so have saved significant dollars there alone. Plus being highly technically challenged myself, I am so grateful for the quick and clear responses and detailed guidance for my numerous and sometimes totally obvious (stupid) questions! I feel valued and am always looked after - very rare in the tech world.

Really positive, it does handle 99%of what e need. It could use an email function as mail chimp pretty isn't a great fit and another expensive clubs don't need to have on top of everything else.

Hivepass changed the game for our club membership

The overall experience has been great. Any trouble shooting has been very easy and communication with the developer was always great. they anticipated any issues and made us aware ahead of time about any decisions we might need to make at certain points in regards to updates etc. There have been no nasty surprises, only a good experience.

This software reduced the amount of admin our volunteers needed to complete to almost zero. Enabling local businesses to support us with member deals and discounts that are put right in front of our members gives them the confidence to support us with some great deals, which further drives membership. The newsfeed is a great asset - being such a succinct and direct channel of communication that is admin low and very effective. The ability to offer subscription as a payment option is also of huge benefit to the club. There is a lot to love about this software!
Cons:
I can only think of really small things, such as; it would be great to add video or multiple images to the newsfeed.
