About Zoobook EHR

Zoobook EHR by Zoobook Systems LLC is a cloud-based ONC-ACB certified 2015 edition compliant electronic health record and practice management system designed by behavioral programs for behavioral health programs.

It's designed for mental health and addiction treatment providers - outpatient, inpatient, residential, detox, methadone clinic etc. It has a bed management module for residential providers most EHRs don't have.

It is modern, affordable, easy to use, designed with awesome user experience in mind, tailored to State, Medicaid, DMHAS, DOH regulations, helps to survive in FFS and value based environment and increased Medicaid / Medicare / private insurance audits.

You can track referrals, client's attendance, no-shows, daily/weekly clients served, incomplete progress notes, treatment plans. Zoobook EHR has business intelligence capabilities and displays on the dashboard the most valuable reports for the management to help make timely decisions. It has an HR module to track employment paperwork, vacation, leaves, hours of supervision, and staff productivity. Zoobook’s AI-powered documentation system is a game changer. The note-writing assistant is intuitive, fast, and remarkably accurate—it understands clinical nuance and helps streamline documentation without sacrificing quality. It’s the best I’ve seen in any behavioral health EHR. The platform itself is user-friendly, responsive, and clearly designed with clinicians in mind.

Cons:

Honestly, there’s very little to critique. If I had to choose, I’d say the learning curve for some of the more advanced features could be steep for new users—but the support team more than makes up for it.

That everything is in one place and all together which makes it easier to locate and view items.

Cons:

I do not care for the Treatment Plan lay out as 6 goals for someone in recover is not achievable. Its very hard for a normal person to try to accomplish 6 goals at one time. The treatment Plan does not need to follow NJSAMS 6 D

The efficiency in troubleshooting issues and the easy use of the ZB features.

Cons:

I don't like that you cannot create and save a note even if it appears there's a double-booked appt. Could it be possible the writer could write one progress note without being able to write the other, especially if one of the appt bookings is a mistake?

Reasons for switching to Zoobook EHR

New contract with different SOPs. I prefer Simple Practice, only because ZooBook does not offer drop down options for the evaluation portion of the note.

Its easy to use and anytime I need help I know I can simply send an email and my request is usually taken care of in minutes

Cons:

In my opinion, there are a lot of unnecessary items found in a clients profile page or when saving a new client or other areas and it makes it a little difficult to navigate because there is so much to see.
