    Great product for small and medium-size organisations

    I have used CiviCRM for many years, and moved to CiviPlus in the last couple of years. The set up is easy and there are many resources available to troubleshoot any minor issue without relying on your support hours. If you do wind up reaching out to the company for help, everyone - from help desk to project and account manager- is reliable and competent.

    Very Poor Experience for all concerned.

    Very poor. Migration failure started a difficult three years on the system. After recovering from migration the functionality advertised either did not work fully or did not exist. We were expected to pay for development as part of system customisation. Finance integration is very basic and data tracking is challenging . Both customers and our own staff felt the system untenable despite great efforts to make it work for us

    Although civiplus turned out not to a viable option for us due to the complexity of our existing systems, [sensitive content hidden] who spoke with us spent time really understanding our situation and gave us honest and valuable advice. Had it not been for the situation with our existing situation we would definitely have asked him to tender for our business and I would recommend him as a honest provider with good understanding and insight.

    A Year in and still Problematic

    It has been very challenging. The past two years have seen huge improvements to the initial system but we are still challenged by bugs, accountancy errors and problems that we are expected to pay to resolve and fees are building up. This is proving to be an expensive system to run and we were unaware on things like commissions that Compuco earn on every payment taken through the system.

    We operated the original Civi database system for our membership , donor and event management. We assumed Civi Plus would offer existing functionality and the improvements advertised and looked forward to increased ability to talk to membership gather data accurately and improve payment and subscription services as well as database management.
    Cons:
    Unfortunately on implementation we found almost all functionality was being written as we went along. New limits were placed on things like email capacity and much of the system simply didnt exist when we started. We still have issues with things like payment systems for members which all go through Compuco and do not provide audit compliant accountancy information.

    Because we were operating Civi CRM and the CiviPlus claimed to be the updating of this highly successful charity CRM system. Conversion was expected to be straightforward and the functionality advertised suited our needs

    The right system for us

    It's early days for a new system, but even our least computer confident staff can see its vast potential. The Compuco team were brilliant to work with. We're delighted with the end product

    As we did not previously have a CRM our needs were relatively simple - but needed to balance the unique nature of our business, representing Task management, issue of licences and all associated financials, alongside Charity and events promotions and fundraising. Civi provides all of these functions to a high degree, but also gives us the scope to grow our needs into geographical tagging, volunteer management and more.
    Cons:
    We haven't found any major downsides yet. As a new system where we had none before, we are able to modify our business processes to match up with the software (and that has been minimal). We will I'm sure discover tweaks to be made in set up which we didn't fully appreciate in development, but we are confident that these will be minimal.

    Civi gave us the best balance of functionality across all aspects of our fairly unique organisation - particularly case/task management and licencing balanced with Charity comms and fundraising.
