Why I Highly Recommend Nialli Visual Planner

I especially valued that is is built for the jobsite, not the back office. It is very positive to see crews planning together to solve problems and move projects along, reducing delays and budget overruns. The generous, flexible data it generates was valuable to assess projects, particularly to avoid making the same mistakes in other locations.

Pros:

Appreciated that Visual Planner is designed to be intuitive, visual, collaborative. Because it is designed to function in the familiar way that crews already work, it is easy to adopt and eliminates messy, analog methods. Unlike other digital solutions, it is very fairly priced, and scales well from small to very large projects. It is well supported by the Nialli team, who have an in-depth understanding of construction projects.

Cons:

I have no omplaints. I found Visual Planner to be all positive. It is especially appropriate for environments where there is an eagerness to adopt lean solutions.

Dear Sticky Notes - It's Not You, It's Me...

Pros:

The simplicity and ease of use of the application. This drastically reduces the learning curve and training required to get the field users (foremen, etc) up a running with the system. Additionally, Nialli's price point is substantially better than other systems on the market.

Cons:

The drag and drop, and some of the touch sensitivity integration with the touch-displays is sometimes a little finiky.

Reasons for choosing Nialli Visual Planner

We also almost went with QLean. This was not an option on this question. For Nialli, factors were - Price point. Sales person was not at all pushy, was very helpful, always available by phone for questions, and open about things that Nialli may not currently have compared to competitors, etc.

Nialli Visual Planner

Excellent product to bring the last planner boards into the digital world while keeping true to the nature of the system. It has been easy to pick up and use with trade contractors and garners much more attention and acceptance than a traditional sticky board schedule.

Ease of use and the ability to add and track the schedule in much greater detail then traditional last planner stickie boards. Trades ability to view the schedule remotely and also collaborate on virtual calls is extremely beneficial. Customer support has been great and our ideas/feedback appears to be valued.

Cons:

Phase planning area could be improved and PDF options increased to produce better quality PDF's of schedules for presentation

Pros:

The Nialli Visual Planner has been an amazing tool to bridge the gap between site planning and the master schedule. It is easy to use, making it a more appealing tool for those onsite with limited technology skills. Providing the ability to upload the schedule in increments with the task names, resource and schedule ID tag has saved our site team valuable time during trade meetings. The Visual Planner allows you to go in at the end of each day and mark tasks as complete or incomplete and for incomplete tasks you can select one of many variance reasons, update the actual crew size to later compare against planned crew sizes and you can also leave notes. This is a quick and easy way to keep track of changes and delays that you might need to explain later in the project. All of this information is easily accessible in excel form and through a Power BI Report.

Cons:

It is not as easy to use on a cell phone. The master schedule that you upload into the Phase Pull maxes out at 20 days so for tasks longer than 20 days you don't get the actual duration to see while planning

Activities can now be up to 99 days in length. Additionally, we have launched a new web version of Nialli Visual Planner including a re-imagined mobile interface.
