About Patient Hub

Patient Hub is a digital patient engagement portal that helps patients manage their healthcare appointments and waiting list status more efficiently. The portal is designed for healthcare providers, such as NHS Trusts and Boards, who want to enhance patient experiences and optimize operational efficiency.

Patients can easily book, reschedule and manage their appointments through the self-service portal. This reduces administrative work for healthcare staff. The solution also allows healthcare providers to quickly validate if patients still need to be on the waiting list, freeing up capacity. Additionally, Patient Hub empowers patients to have more control over their care through the Patient Initiated Follow-up (PIFU) feature.

    Patient Hub improved our patient communications overnight.

    Fantastic. Patient Hub is very user friendly for set up and maintaining. Its modular approach ensures you can concentrate at a project level to deploy and the Academy makes certain that your teams are well trained in how to get the best from Patient Hub.

    Pros:
    Patient Hub has been transformative for our service. The deployment was fully supported by the Netcall Team and their approach of ensuring customers can 'self manage' has ensured that we continue to be engaged with how patients transition to using the patient hub over the past year. The Patient Hub Team have also been very responsive to requested improvements through their Ideas Portal and many of our suggestions have ben taken on board. Waiting List Validation in particular has been a huge success and allowed us to communicate with patients to ensure that those who are offered an appointment actually still need one. This has saved the Trust millions in potentially lost or unneeded appointment being sent out
    Cons:
    Going big bang deployment for the whole of the Trust was a bit overwhelming; however this was due to necessity, not recommendation. New features can often be deployed without us noticing due to the complexity of patient hub.

We understand you being overwhelmed at the big bang deployment, but you did see very quick successes as a result, which is excellent. Don't forget that new features are signposted via the release notes and videos on the Community, so please do keep active on the Community. Software always goes into your Test environment first, which should provide all the knowledge and capabilities to test before going live.     Pros:
    Here at Harrogate & District NHS FT, we use Netcall’s Patient Hub module to manage waiting list validation. The platform is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and provides clear, accessible management information, making it highly effective for both staff and patients. We’ve seen a notable improvement in patient response rates, which has helped us reduce our waiting list size, lower DNAs, and improve clinic utilisation. The Netcall team are incredibly supportive, working closely with us to optimise the platform’s use and ensure we get the most from it.
    Cons:
    There is very little to not like about Patient Hub, we are looking forward to taking the upgraded platform shortly so we can expire a patient link, this has been problematic for delayed responses, however, we are pleased it has been addressed by Netcall.

    Very good. Its has a wide impact in Outpatients and you can see how it will spread into diagnostics and Inpatient admissions.

    Very easy to setup and configure to bring instant results from financial savings to high patient satisfaction. Its reduced our calls into the services and given us a new way for patients to interact with the booking teams. New functionality comes on with each release, so our digital offering gets enhanced virtually every quarter.
    Cons:
    Not much really, there are some smaller user cases where letters continue to be manually sent, but Netcall actively work through them to enhance the functionality.

    A broad range of highly reliable functionality that is easy to integrate with hospital EPR system. Intuitive modules that are straight forward to configure and customise content to the needs of hospital services and patients. All functionality (appointment notifications, surveys, patient pathway updates and communications) have been well received staff and patients. We have seen some significant efficiencies as a result of introducing Patient Hub. Patient engagement is around 80% and patient satisfaction is >93%.
    Cons:
    I'm struggling to think of anything I don't like about Patient Hub. It does what it says on the tin, and it does it reliably.
