About Venmo

Venmo is a digital payment and wallet gateway that allows customers to transfer money and make payments via their mobile device. Businesses are able to generate exposure for the brand as users share their purchases on the Venmo feed and are also able to offer a new social currency to a mobile-first audience.

The solution enables users to make payments by linking their debit cards or bank accounts directly via the app, or by transferring the money stored within their account. Besides initiating payments, consumers can receive and send payments from contacts and friends by selecting a @username, contact's name, email or phone number. All transfers can be cashed our immediately to a bank account or stored as a Venmo balance for use at a later time.

Still a great option

I use Venmo for business and personal and it’s easy and convenient. Money transfers quickly and debit card option is great

Pros:

Simple way to pay others, and transfer money across accounts. The debit card is also a great feature.

Cons:

That you have to change it to private if you don’t want others to see your transactions. Not sure why they have a feed like that anyway

Venmo Takes a Big Leap !

I've actually had a fantastic overall view with venmo because I've actually had my venmo card a few times and I was actually able to dispute the charges I was very surprised it's convenient it's a lot like cash app but better more protection

Pros:

I definitely like the fact that it has convenience just like PayPal I know their sister companies The only thing about venmo is it's very picky about what card you're able to add to it

Cons:

I can say the only thing that I didn't like about venmo was the fact that certain cards weren't allowed like let's say I have a MasterCard and I want to add money to my venmo well sometimes venmo doesn't take said card so that's when my only difficulties

Reasons for choosing Venmo

I do still use my PayPal and it's only because I'm a psychic medium and I do need a few payment accounts. Venmo is like PayPal on steroids lol 🤣

Reasons for switching to Venmo

Cash up got to be a real bad hassle especially for my business. I was always getting my account shut down for needless reasons or they were taking my money.

Venmo is great, but public sharing is an issue

Pretty good so far; i like them better than cashapp which i used to use reguarly. zelle also being used more often

There's no competent support at Venmo

Horrific. The support is terrible for a company in this day and age. Both outdated support options on the App and the website and then horrific support through their customer support phone line. Horrible Horrible Horrible

I used to like the ability to send and receive money, but it's not worth it after what we experienced.

Cons:

Support. They have the worst support I have ever experienced. The chat support in the app and on the website instructs you to click on options that are not there. Chat support was minimal and not helpful. Telephone support was equally terrible. In addition to long wait times, my son was instructed to supply Venmo with a picture of a government ID and then him holding the ID. He was then told that he was not looking at them (which he was looking at the camera) and then was told he would need another ID. He is 18. He has a drivers' license. He asked what other ID do they expect him to have? They had no answer for him. He was told his case was being moved to a supervisor and then he suspended his account (which is ridiculous since the entire reason for support was that his phone number changed and he hasn't been able to access his account). It is deeply frustrating as to the level of incompetence, especially since there is money in his venmo account that he cannot access.

Pros:

The best thing about Venmo is that you can pay anybody almost instantly, without any worry about the security of the transaction.

Cons:

The only thing I don't like about Venmo is that the payments are not instant (unless you pay extra), but honestly it doesn't really bother me and I still use it often.

I find Venmo easier to use, and more people are available on Venmo that on Zelle

Venmo for fast and reliable cash.

So far so good. I like it. I enjoy using it to send my son money when he needs it. And it is immediately available to him.

I love the fact that Venmo is through Paypal. I can send money insantly to anyone in my contact list.

Cons:

Nothing. What is not to like? I guess I would say the fees after having so much money sent to you throughout the year.

So easy to use

I use it socially with friends as well as to pay for services, charities, therapy, etc. I wish more people would take venmo.

I like everything - the ease of use, the number of people that accept Venmo, the speed of the transactions.

Cons:

Nothing I can tell think of. If I really had to be picky, to would be that after I make my payment, I have limited emoji's to send with it.

I can say enough good things about Venmo. It is the greatest app that has ever existed. I absolutely love the ease of making and receiving payments. I feel like the world runs on Venmo specially with small businesses.

Great for all purposes!

I use Venmo quite frequently when sending and receiving money. It has never given me any issues and I am quite happy with it. The app is super easy to navigate and access!

Pros:

Venmo is very easy to use and set up. I use it when I want payments to be secure and trusted! I have never had any issues with sending or receiving money. I appreciate that it connects straight to my bank account for easy transfer!

Cons:

While I personally have not faced any issues with Venmo, I do believe there are somethings that could make the platform even better. I think that eliminating immediate transfer fees would be awesome!
