La experiencia es muy positiva, dando la posibilidad de realizar estimaciones, tomar decisiones o reportar resultados con seguridad y garantía argumental. Pero queda la sensación aún de estar aprovechando un 10-20% del potencial de la herramienta.

Pros:

Es una herramienta muy potente ante procesos complejos, en cuanto a cantidad de operaciones y tareas realizadas por multitud de personas en diferentes puestos, que de otra manera no se podrían abarcar si se quiere obtener unos indicadores cualitativos (visuales) y cuantitativos precisos, sobre la calidad de la definición del proceso de fabricación. La forma de uso para balancear las diferentes "piezas" del proceso es muy sencilla e intuitiva, asegurando que la información no se traspapele durante las reconfiguraciones, pudiendo extraer un informe inmediato del resultado del balanceo de operaciones en cada paso realizado. Es muy versátil, posibilitando la elección de las variables clave, bien sea el número de puestos, el takt time, tiempo de ciclo, número de personas, etc.. que determinen la estrategia de la definición del proceso.

Cons:

Siguiendo la lógica de definición de un proceso, la herramienta debería de facilitar más el poder "dibujarlo" mediante un flujo de proceso de forma sencilla (tipo Visio), y automáticamente poder crear la estructura de operaciones acorde, para luego poder customizar dentro de cada operación y tarea. Para su uso en líneas multiproducto con alta variabilidad, resulta algo complicado, se debería encontrar la forma de simplificar la forma de configurarlo.

Herramienta clave para analizar procesos productivos en detalle

Se trata de un producto fácil de utilizar que se caracteriza por su flexibilidad y capacidad de integrarse con otros procesos existentes en la empresa. Las funciones más importantes refieren a la nivelación y al equilibrado de procesos productivos. Particularmente, me ha resultado de gran utilidad el asistente para el cálculo de los coeficientes de fatiga, el cual se basa en las tablas de la OIT.

Cons:

De momento, no he detectado funciones que sean confusas y susceptibles de mejorar.

Base centralizada y control en la trazabilidad de cambios. Facilidad de manejo. Admite multiples sistemas de definición de tiempos Homogeneidad de la documentación.

Cons:

En nuestro caso fue necesaria una adaptación bastante importante de las funcionalidades del programa que llevaron algo de tiempo.
