About Caterbook

Caterbook is a cloud-based reservation solution, which assists bed and breakfast, guest houses, serviced apartments and hotels with room booking and billing. Key features include customer management, deposit handling, quotation, electronic point-of-sale and notifications.

The application helps supervisors manage occupancy, set up price ranges and sync the availability with the calendar. Its channel management module helps update rate plans on various online listing sites such as Booking.com and Expedia, allowing teams to generate marketing reports. Additionally, staff members can calculate and adjust tariff rates based on parameters such as customer type, time, day and more.

Caterbook integrates with in-house payment gateway Caterpay, enabling customers to add credit cards, make payments and generate invoices in real-time. The solution is available on a monthly subscription and support is provided via phone, email and documentation.

    Caterbook has truly been helpful to our business and continues to provide us with a reliable , accurate, helpful hotel management system day in day out, all available from anywhere in the world.

    Caterbook has helped our business to manage, keep track and spot trends to ensure we get the best use out of our rooms and advertising spend for a number of years. The emails that we can send to guests are professional and can be personalised and amended to suit. Whenever we have had had call to contact customer support they have been incredibly helpful and patient (especially for those of us who are not as tech savvy as others! ) The reports make comparing year on year differences simple. Overall Caterbook has been great for us as a business.
    Cons:
    We wish there was a linked table management and PLU system as integration of all 3 would be a massive help to us.

    Honestly, the conversations we had with [sensitive content hidden]. We aren't tech savvy and couldn't really see the difference between all of the options out there. But they put us at ease, were patient with our questions, and so helpful whenever we weren't sure of anything. There is something so invaluable to great customer service and support.

    We have been with caterbook a number of years now, in that time other products have contacted us to demonstrate there system . BUT I have remained as I have found it to be far better and I value the ability to contact them quickly

    Ease of use and always able to get direct telephone customer support / training which we find very useful
    Cons:
    Nothing Really, if I had to be picky, I would say it is not the cheapest system out there.But for me this is outweighed by its ease of use and customer service

    I like the simplicity whilst still offering loads of features, and also having direct contact with the staff who happily welcome feedback and more often that not, act on it with the updates
    Cons:
    When applying my pricing, the screen looks overwhelming, so would be great to be able to break up the screen like a calendar view

    The simplicity of the software, I have used multiple PMS systems in the past and this is by far the easiest to navigate.
    Cons:
    I can't say there's anything I least like at the moment as everything we have required or needed has either been set up by the team or something they are working on to upgrade the system.

    Love Caterbook

    Our overall experience with Caterbook has been a great one. Haven’t had any real problems and any small issues I’ve had, are always resolved by calling the customer service phone number. Excellent service all round!

    The customer service is excellent. Unlike other providers, you can call a UK number (Monday to Friday)and speak to the same operatives time and time again, who are extremely pleasant, efficient and helpful. Even at weekends if you have a problem, you can call and leave your number and they always call you back promptly. The initial setup was made so easy, and [sensitive content hidden] did everything she could to make it an easy transition from our last channel manager.
    Cons:
    It’s not 100% useable on mobile phones so we’ve had to buy an iPad with data roaming which we take with us when out of the office.

    If you didn’t know how do do something or there was an error you had an extremely long winded email process to go though and problems took days not minutes to resolve.

    Our overall experience of dealing with caterbook is excellent. From when we 1st enquired up to the level of support we get is fantastic. And the software itself is great and easy to navigate.

    The software has a whole host of feature which our hotel benefits from. We have used other booking systems before and they had information overload and too many features. Caterpay benefits our needs as a 20 bed hotel .
    Cons:
    I cant say i dont lile anything about the software. I am yet to find fault

    The Caterbook support team are always on hand to answer any questions we have (and there are often lots!). Their service is exceptional and very personal, as they truly understand their customers and their businesses. They know their system inside and out, which is invaluable when you call for support—there’s always an answer or solution. We really appreciate how promptly they respond, always following up with an email or call. It’s reassuring to know we’re supported by a team who genuinely cares. Caterbook is an easy system to navigate and use and is always evolving to improve and update to make it even slicker and better for customers.

    There is nothing to report in this section. We are excited to learn about the new pilot with REs diary.

    The Customer Support - Especially [sensitive content hidden] that we normally discuss our issues & queries with. The event / function management and breakdown or pricing and billing is a great tool for our reports. The Training and ease of use that our staff enjoy is a comfort to the management. It is encouraging to hear that there will be an integration with RESDIARY for restaurant reservations coming soon.
    Cons:
    To be honest - i really dont have any issues with it just now - there may be some functionality that may be a little over whelming but - this all comes with a PMS system where we have many rates / deals etc.
