About SmartHCM

SmartHCM is a human capital management (HCM) solution that helps organizations across various industries to manage HR tasks such as payroll, overtime tracking, onboarding and more. Key features include employee lifecycle management, applicant tracking, a self-service portal and 360-degree feedback.

SmartHCM's HR module helps users to automate administrative HR tasks and consolidate workforce-related documents onto a single platform. The solution also provides users with various overtime calculation functionalities such as user-defined overtime rates, overtime hours validation, overtime scales tables and more.

Additionally, SmartHCM offers functionalities for generating custom reports, time and attendance tracking, benefits management and employee onboarding. Mobile applications for iOS and Android devices are also provided by the solution.

SmartHCM can either be deployed on-premise or hosted in the cloud and offers services on a monthly subscription basis. Perpetual licenses are also available. Support is offered via phone and email.

Pros:

It used to take our HR department more than a week to prepare payroll , now it only takes a few hours to produce a correct and accurate payroll including leaves and permissions. Many other essential features that helped the company automate many processes. The employee self service is easy to use, it almost does require any training.

Cons:

Needs speed improvements but it's not very noticeable. Applying for more than one leave causes an issue sometimes.. Smart HCM has informed us that this issue is resolved in the new release coming soon.

Low price comprehensive system that even fills the gap that even tier1 systems miss.

Quite a comprehensive system that automates all of the HR activities and truly make it paper less much more efficient.

Cons:

To be able to use it fully, substantial amount of data is required from the business to configure the software, which normally SMEs don't have ready.

Adding formulas to automate the calculations of the payroll and the interactions of the support employees to resolve any issue

Cons:

Customization cost is high, only being accessed through mozilla firefox browser, there are no presentations that explains what employee needs to do in ESS to guide them

The modules. It covers all HR domains. The smartphone app and attendance utility via app is very effective

Reporting side is very weak and basic. Needs dynamic reports. Reports cannot be used for analysis via vlookup
