SmartRecruiters is a web-based hiring platform designed with the end-user in mind. With a user-friendly interface, users can navigate to post a job, apply for a position, review a candidate or remove an applicant from consideration with a few clicks. The solution also offers managers and recruiters a mobile hiring app, with mobile-optimized job postings and career pages.

Smart Recruiters is, as a whole, a fantastic company/software. That sums in my thoughts.

The intuitiveness /usability of the system is a huge benefit. We're able to move candidates through the process very easily. A complaint though, the included job aggregators are pretty irrelevant

Pros:

The BEST piece about this software is the fact that new features (taken from the community of SR users) are constantly being developed and we get monthly releases. Obviously, the user interface is very intuitive and easy to teach new managers. We just completely overhauled our entire Recruiting process, and the easiest part of that herculean effort was changing the process in SR.

Cons:

Notifications are kind of a bugger. There's a feature that allows constant notifications, but the only person that can get those constant notification is the hiring manager. Why not the Recruiter too? Recruiters at my company live in this system day in and day out, hiring managers hop in and out as needed, so we're the ones that need the notification (along with the hiring managers).

SmartRecruiters - very SMART decision

Overall, my experience using SmartRecruiters was great. So easy to manage the pool of candidates. I worked in a high volume recruiting environment, where we screened/interviewed upwards of 50 people per week. We needed to train 20+ internal HR users - the implementation was fast and easy. You could create templates, schedule interviews and communicate rejections where necessary. Navigating through the portal was very user-friendly. You could search for candidates, upload their profile information, send them emails and manage the onboarding process quite seamlessly.

Pros:

The SmartRecruiters platform was straight forward and easy to navigate through the software. Adding new employees was very simple and straight forward. It was also easy to implement this software across 4 branches and train internal employees.

Cons:

For manual resumes, it was time consuming to scan and upload the candidate's resume. Sometimes the orientation of the document changed after it was uploaded. One other drawback was that some candidates were rejected, and they were still able reapply reversing the first/last name. There should have been another identifier that would prevent this.

Overall experience wasn't bad I would recommend as a trial for your team before committing. I think this application has great potential but may need some work in the lab still.

Pros:

Some positives about this applicant tracking system are that it was somewhat easy to navigate for our team, didn't need a too much training to learn and explore. You can integrate this with other job boards which is great for reaching a wider audience. Noticed a positive engagement for potential recruits.

Cons:

Used a trial period of this software but could get pricey based on team size. Did experience integration issues at first but support helped to ease the curveballs. Some of the different task like creating reports and reviewing schedules/interviews could not be customized.

Amazing Collaborative Recruitment Tool

I have found it to be a functional ATS which serves as an all-in-one recruitment solution with many helpful integrations that saves time and gets the job done in a breeze. Would recommend.

Pros:

Turns the recruitment process into a collaborative effort that ropes in everyone effectively. The platform's intuitive, making it simpler for hiring managers, recruiters, and even candidates to get on the same page. Plus, the flexibility to customize workflows for our complex business processes is a big win. Loads of integrations with tools like DocuSign, Zoom and Linkedin as well are a big plus.

Cons:

There are some niche integrations with more legacy-based tools which are still not present. It's best to check the integrations library before deploying this tool across your company to see if you might have any data gaps.

I love Smartrecruiters!

I helped implement and get Smartrecruiters going. There is so much to learn and discover, but once you get the hang of it, it's very straightforward.

Pros:

Smartrecruiters provides the best experience for a recruiter. It is so easy to use the website and provides you with a quick snapshot of where candidates are at in the interview process. It makes scheduling and creating interviews so easy with their calendar integration. There is also awesome integration with Docusign to make signing and completing offer letters so easy for candidates.

Cons:

There needs to be some improvement with the self-scheduling feature within Smartrecruiters, but overall, it has been such a great experience.

Reasons for switching to SmartRecruiters

We essentially had to make the switch because we were acquired by another agency.

We've left Workday Recruiting for SmartRecruiter (linked to Workday) and it solves all of the issues we were having with the other system. Nothing bad to say its great !

Cons:

I honestly am having a hard time to say something i like the "least". The only thing, its SUPER minimal, I would say when posting you need to "add to cart" where you're going to post ? I find that odd.

Pros:

I love how easy the system is to use for any and all levels of recruiters. The added features and CRM capabilities make it a system that stands out in the industry. It will change the way we recruit in a very positive way!

Cons:

Sometimes the integration's and configurations can be difficult to do as SmartRecruiters doesn't allow for all characters to come through which can cause issues when you are integrating systems and trying to have two systems pass data back and forth - there seems to be a lot of errors but it's easy to fix as long as you have someone who can help.

Reasons for switching to SmartRecruiters

Workday recruiting doesn't work for our industry or market.
