About Glue Up

Glue Up is a cloud-based engagement management platform for nonprofit organizations. Glue Up integrates event management, membership management, customer relationship management (CRM), email marketing, payment processing and dedicated mobile apps into one platform.

With Glue Up’s membership renewal workflow, users are alerted to outstanding payments and can send automatic reminders to members via email and through push notifications. The mobile membership directory lets organizers view member information and connect with members. Users can search through the member directory and create search filters to identify specific types of members.

Organization members can use the mobile app to receive messages, register for events, edit profile information and manage their subscriptions. The payment module lets users collect membership dues and payment via credit cards, wire transfers and other digital payment gateways. Glue Up provides two separate apps for members and organizers, which are available for iOS and Android devices. Support is provided via email, phone, helpdesk and webinars.

Simplifying Community Building — for Both Admins and Users

Glue Up helps us streamline and centralise many aspects of our work as an association secretariat. It connects CRM, events, communications, membership management, and payments all in one platform, which saves us time and gives us a full overview of our members’ engagement in just a few clicks. Instead of switching between tools, we can see everything in one place: who our members are, what events they've joined, which invoices are pending, and how active they are in the community. This level of integration has made our admin work more efficient and has allowed us to offer a more personalised and professional experience to our members.

Pros:
The CRM system is a standout feature. It's incredibly well-integrated, allowing us to easily access all relevant information about our members in one place—from contact details and event attendance to payment history and engagement level. This makes it so much easier to stay on top of our relationships and respond to members’ needs quickly. The platform also makes communication simple and efficient. We can send out targeted emails, notifications, and campaigns to the exact audience we want to reach, all from within the system. That level of control and flexibility is incredibly helpful. The events module is another highlight. Setting up registration pages, ticketing, and managing attendees is intuitive and smooth. It saves us a lot of time and adds a very professional touch to our events. Overall, the platform brings everything together in one place, making it much easier to manage a community effectively.
Cons:
The Knowledge Library is very useful and allows us to share important content, but visually, it could be more engaging or dynamic. The current design is fully functional, but a refresh could make it even more appealing for users exploring resources.

Slow, bulky, restrictive and cumbersome.

This platform tries to do it all for associations and does no one thing well and almost everything poorly. Navigating around is slow and difficult; members information is difficult to organize; reporting functionality is very basic, limited to filters; information is scattered, not allowing you to compare and analyze critical data; email builder is awful; deliverability is bad; website content management is locked down so you have to wait two weeks to make any type of update; customer support is slow and terrible, revolving door of new staff and account managers. Don’t be fooled by the low annual fee, you will pay for it either by having to hire consultants or additional staff to manage it for you, or spend all of your time trying to figure out how this slow, bulky, cumbersome thing works.

It’s easy to access your members and contacts, but that’s it. They’ve put a lot of thought into functionality and set it up logically, unfortunately not from a simple user experience point of view.
Cons:
No flexibility; difficult to navigate; cannot customize many of the communications messages; website content management is very restrictive; customer support responsiveness is extremely slow.

Glue Up Membership Software Fits Just Right

Glue Up is a great option for any size entity. Representatives were very informative of program features. There were plenty of training resources available. Our account Manager checked in with us throughout the year to see if we had any problems or to just update us on program changes. Price was very reasonable. We were up and running quickly.

Ease of maintaining memberships with one app. Members are invoiced automatically by the software through email instead of our old way of using a database to create/print invoices and mailing them. Sending a mass communication to members is very simple as well. Great option for our small, county owned golf course club.
Cons:
I wish it could generate a report of account balances for each member to keep a record of all past due amounts. We have only used Glue Up for about 6 months, so maybe I just haven't discovered the right option yet. I can view individual membership accounts and outstanding invoices. I would just like to print a report of all member balances as of a specific date for Board review.

[sensitive content hidden] with Glue Up was quick to follow up with the inquiry. He showed a demo of the product after talking with me to see what our club needed. Price was very reasonable. I originally just wanted a foolproof membership program to invoice members and process payments easier. He showed me several features that would possibly be useful for the club as we progressed.

Our bookkeeper would change the membership database unintentionally which created problems trying to generate invoices. She also would confuse payments because there wasn't enough detail on the invoices. I was looking for an option that would be easy to learn for non-accounting experienced employees for a reasonable cost since we are a small entity. Also figured it would provide an easier way to report club activity to the Board.
