About Copper POS

Copper POS is a Web-based solution that provides businesses with a cash register system to store product information and improve the overall checkout process for customers. It is suitable for businesses of all sizes.

The software’s capabilities include client management, inventory control and support for multiple currencies. It also features multiple payment forms, receipt printing in multiple sizes, tax exemption, refunds and returns, coupons and discounts and receipt customization.

Inventory management capabilities include an inventory matrix, inventory forecasting and classification, purchase orders, variable pricing and inventory reorder alerts.

Copper POS supports multiple payment methods, such as credit cards, checks and cash. It also supports multiple peripheral devices, such as cash drawers, receipt printers, barcode scanners and touch screens.

Copper POS offers a free version of this software.

Copper is Love

Good usability, nice to use, if they had a dark mode that would support me from going blind & if the mobile version would be better id be gassed!

Gets unusably slow over time, 3 minutes ot print a receipt !

If its a basic system you are looking for short term with out too many transactions then this is OK

Ease of use and setup, easy to customise

Cons:

After a years use in a restaurant environment, it takes longer and longer to print receipts to the point that it is unusable (2-3 minutes from hitting print to receipt being produced. Not the PC fault as it is High-end. It was 1 second when intially installed but seems to be badly written database management. You have to uninstall and reinstall the prodcut afresh. Customer Service were of no use as , apparently we did not pay additional $ for support

Copper: Abandoned but Great!

Awesome program, with it was still developed, but heaps of great features. Not open source. Freemium.

- Fragmented into a bunch of programs(express invoice, reflect, inventoria...) - Abandoned program, it seems. - Not opensource (at least disclose the source!) - A few other things

Pros:

My laboratory uses this software to log in when people buy materials from us. It is a simple interface that any new worker can figure out without any in-depth training.
