Bandwidth.com is a provider of Internet and telephone services that offers a cloud-based phone system known as Phonebooth OnDemand. This VoIP solution combines hosted PBX applications, such as auto attendants, with SIP trunking, a network service that allows businesses with VoIP systems to connect calls to the traditional phone network.
Whereas pricing for SIP trunking is generally based on the usual volume of simultaneous calls that a business makes, SIP trunking from Bandwidth.com is priced according to a per-user model. In other words, businesses pay a flat monthly fee for each user, which includes unlimited local and long distance calling as well as access to PBX applications.
Bandwidth.com also offers managed broadband Internet access protected by service-level agreements (SLAs) via partnerships with major Internet service providers for businesses that need managed connections to SIP trunking services and PBX applications.
PBX features include voicemail to email, find me/follow me (which routes calls to mobile devices when employees are out of the office), conferencing and Web-based management via self-service portals.
My firm is both a partner (referral) for phonebooth and a long time customer. First the good: The service works great almost every single day, and when it doesn't work - its usually not too hard to get things back on track. They also have a very competitive price and the dashboard is fairly easy to use. Unfortunately all of this is good but not good enough. They never listen to user feedback: in 3 years they have not changed the compatible phone list, which does not INCLUDE A SINGLE PORTABLE PHONE. Users have been arguing and complaining by web and phone for years - no change. In addition the user interface has some glaring bugs and issues and they have fixed none of these items. Lastly, they don't give 2 bits about their referral partners, we get rude responses on the phone, they never pay out on finders fees, and they once sent a client our Finders Fee by accident!! Nearly cost us the relationship with the client.

Anyone who has ever dealt with a virtual pbx knows that systems aren't easy. They seem complicated, a lot of intricate parts to marriage together and serious work to have it run smoothly. First, Kudos to the 3 companies being compared here: phonebooth, grasshopper and 8x8, they've ALL made it relatively easy to have a virtual pbx. However, this misleading comparison has you believe 8x8 is the best. It's not! I've used all 3 and I'm a professional in this industry. I would never switch from phonebooth.com and we have never experienced an issue where customer support did not try and help us. I think a lot of times you have people who don't know how to talk the lingo that get frustrated when a customer support rep doesn't understand what you're describing in laymen terms. Just relax, be patient and try to explain it again. As for the offering of services, phonebooth is hands down the best, regardless of the misinformation that is presented here. Like android compatibility being removed from the list for phonebooth in compatibility. I use my phonebooth all the time on my Galaxy Note III with zero problems... If you want a TRUE analysis then take your time and go to EACH company's website and make your own comparison. You'll be glad you did!
super easy and flexible with great features included in its base price! Oh wait a minute, it only has ONE price!! The rest sell watered down version and then nickel and dime you to death...
none so far. There bundles are better and don't leave features out that the company can then upsell you on, like he competitors do...
I love the price and the product. It is great as long as you don't encounter an issue. No one in the service department seems to care and they even go as far as to ignore your problems and concerns. Very frustrating to talk to and to get things done. I had an issue on 01/07/2014 and requested help. They "submitted a ticket" and received no updates. I called a total of 5 times requesting at least an update and all they said is "it has been escalated to our tier 2 engineer." It is about a month later and the issue is still not resolved. I still have not received a single update.
