Sage Accounting Key Sentiments
We analyzed 547 verified reviews for Sage Accounting to find out what actual users really think.
Most Positive Sentiments
Setup
Sage Accounting is often described as easy to get started with, especially for those without prior accounting experience. The installation process is straightforward, and the interface is intuitive enough for new users to navigate without extensive training. Many users say they were able to tailor the system to their business needs, which made onboarding smoother and more relevant to their workflows.
Accounting
The platform supports a wide range of accounting tasks, from basic bookkeeping to more advanced financial management. Users appreciate being able to access the system from anywhere, which helps them stay on top of entries and updates without being tied to a desktop. Many say they’ve reduced reliance on external accountants, saving both time and money by handling tasks independently.
Reporting
Sage Accounting’s reporting tools are frequently mentioned for their speed and flexibility. Users say they can generate financial and management reports quickly, with options to customize layouts and data fields. This helps teams access the insights they need without digging through spreadsheets. The variety of report types also supports different business functions, from performance tracking to compliance.
Least Positive Sentiments
Customer support
While some users find Sage Accounting’s support team helpful and responsive, others report mixed experiences. Tutorials and help resources are appreciated, especially by small businesses that need guidance. However, many users mention long wait times, unresolved issues, and inconsistent service quality. These challenges have led to frustration, particularly when urgent problems require immediate attention.
Invoice management
Users say the invoicing features are generally easy to use, with helpful tools for customizing quotes and tracking payments. Notifications and editable fields make it easier to manage client accounts. That said, some reviewers report limitations in customization, occasional glitches with email delivery, and manual steps that slow down the process. These issues can make invoice handling more time-consuming than expected.
Bank reconciliation
The ability to link bank accounts and automate transaction feeds is a highlight for many users. They find it useful for tracking expenses and maintaining accurate records. However, several reviewers mention problems with duplicate entries, missing transactions, and limited support for multiple accounts. These issues often require manual corrections, which can disrupt workflows and reduce efficiency.
