Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management is a comprehensive, scalable solution for prioritizing, planning, managing and evaluating projects, programs and portfolios. This system can only be deployed in the cloud.
Functionalities include role-based access and real-time view of project performance. Team members can communicate activities such as status updates, issue resolution, scope change and document revisions.
Other features include Gantt charts with complete graphical representation of project schedules, and calendar and activity networks that provide a complete view of assignments along with necessary information to complete that activity.
The system supports simultaneous management of multiple projects, multi-user access and resource control capabilities with support for multi-tiered project hierarchies, resource scheduling and data capture with customizable views.
Primavera P6 also features risk management, resource management, collaboration and content management, timesheets, reporting and analytics.

P6 is very possibly the least easy-to-use program I've ever been taught. While it's full of features, it's horrible to navigate and takes some serious training for employees.

You can set various views so that contractors and subcontractors can upload documents, but cannot see other sensitive information that is uploaded by the client or management.
Slow, confusing, no one in our company likes to use it so only 2 people end up loading and tracking all of the documents instead of it being an easier search for everyone. Our version does not update unless you pay for a new update, and the version is so outdated that it does not work with most people's browsers and Java anymore.
I would ensure that before purchasing any software like this, everyone in the company or project is on board, and you clearly identify your needs and uses. We tried to use this and go paperless, but uploading documents is only slower and more time consuming instead of saving paper change orders, submittals, etc...
