xProjects by CMiC systems is a project management solution that is created specifically for the construction industry to meet the needs of all members involved in a project, including project owners, general contractors and other important stakeholders. xProjects creates a platform for stakeholders to designate some data as private and other data to be shared as public within the ecosystem.

By allowing stakeholders to communicate with each other in real-time, CMiC xProjects helps maintain a conversation centered around the project and provide tools for organizing documents and monitoring project executions.

xProjects also grants each general contractor the ability to specify to the owner of the project which applications of the system are necessary and which ones aren't, focusing the system to meet the needs of each job.

Support is offered via phone and email.

CMiC Review

Pros

What I like most about this software is that you have two different sides to this software which you can work on accounting entering upload and processing to a work flow where you can have uper management approval invoices for payment so it’s like two sets of eyes liking at your work before you process payment. We have a project side where each project manager can see owl and what is going on in their projects

Cons

The software still haves a lot of glitches.

CMIC review

It was not very pleasant, more often than not i spent attempting to locate files and navigate an overly complicated layout.

Pros

at least you have your documents in one place that is searchable.

Cons

Interface feels as if in 1985, can be really confusing to save and upload dailies and prints. consistently shuts down and will not allow you to move forward or randomly deletes files, also even if you send documents and it creates a trail, there were more than a few times that the documents never made it to destination.

The only good ERP is your last one, and your next one - CMiC does an OK job

Pros

It handles many of the financial and documentation needs of our company, and has the potential to cover others.

Cons

The interface is very out-dated and hard to use (particular on mobile browsers), it requires constant maintenance, patching, and testing. It's expensive to integrate with things

Tricky Customization

We've been using another similar software for many years and recently switched to CMiC. The transition has been time consuming but the end result should justify the cost. We're looking forward to having the software fully implemented.

Pros

I love that we're able to replace 3-4 different softwares with 1 (CMiC). We were able to combine most of our company's departments into this one software which allows more seamless distribution of information. It's a powerful software that can be customized to meet our company's individual needs.

Cons

Customization was a very long process and we're still discovering issues as we roll it out to our employees.

It's user friendly once I got used to it.

Pros

The AR portion is much easier to use than our previous software. I really like the reports that can be generated once CMIC was able to customize them for PBI.

Cons

It requires lots of patience. If you can get past the trial and error portion to customize the system for your needs it's a pretty good investment.

End user only, but have found software difficult to use

Pros

Allows subcontractors the ability to have access to the project information, such as Submittals, RFIs, etc

Cons

Difficult to navigate, and upload information; have had several incidences where RFIs/Submittals that have been submitted using CMiC somehow are not processed

I use CMiC daily for managing money associated with construction projects.

Pros

The feature that I like most about using CMiC is how much information associated with my project is easily accessible in the program. Contracts are stored in the program and multiple financial reports are easy to collect with a click of the button.

Cons

If you are new to using the program, it is hard to utilize the software right out of the gate. Getting started with CMiC is not the easiest to navigate. This program is very smart and there is a lot of information stored within it.

Manage and manage your Project with this Solid Tool.

Pros

Used in my organization for the continuous administration of projects, allows you to be aware of all the details of the Project thanks to its variety of tool, has a very good technical support.
It allows you to get details of expenses, cost, quotes and has a very solid and reliable system.
recommended

Cons

It is important to maintain good speed on your computer since the software tends to be a bit slow when you use it.
Expensive depending on what you need in your organization.
It is important to be clear about waiting for this software before acquiring it, since it tends to be expensive.

Excellent management of architectural projects

Very good experience, the project management department works more comfortable since they started using this platform, some things to improve but we trust that they will achieve it

Pros

Excellent tool for the administration of architectural projects, Great technical support in billing. It has very reliable and efficient integrated systems

Cons

An interface somewhat complicated to understand, but its main counter is that it has problems with the development of reports when we want to extract important data

Sometimes I feel that there are too many navigational panes options.

Pros

What I like most is the detail in the job cost reports as well as the drill down detail options. Cost affordable.

Cons

Having used both Procore and CMIC , CMIC seam to take longer to understand how to navigate through.

CMIC

Pros

Good working environment, you get to meet professionals. The management implements what is needed to make the job done.

Cons

Almost everything is controlled from the Japanese Headquarters. Discrimination on race is a problem.

Good Value

Pros

CMiC is a great value pm/payroll software we have been using for many years. The connection with the software and our database is instant and never had a problem.

Cons

The software needs some time to get use to, once pass that phase, it will make everything you do with it much easier.

I use CMIC every day.

Everything we do, from accounting to document management is completed in CMIC. We are able to save everything in CMIC for years, so this also helps with document storage.

Pros

Once there is an understanding of the product, it is very easy to use. The functionality is very useful for large construction companies.

Cons

Upside down question marks when copying and pasting from word documents. Also, the Java sections are a bit dated.

It was a long road, but we are finally seeing a ROI

Pros

We are on the cloud based version which seems to be going well. It's a new version, so it is constantly being updated/improved. Support team is easy to reach and nice. We generally get the same person which is huge since they are familiar with our setup.

Cons

The implementation process was tedious, time consuming, and slightly painful. We thought we were setting up things correctly, but since then have had to make a lot of corrections. Setting up our accruals should be fairly simple but have taken a long time and are still not calculating correctly. Very little customization. Getting a custom report is expensive and takes months.

Decent project management suite that offers the ability to build out and create items for your org.

A all in one, secure project management suite.

Pros

Functional in reporting and compiling information
Adaptive, allowing for creating on what your organization needs
Inegrative with current software and 3rd party systems.

Cons

UX/UI is lacking and seems outdated
Cost money to develop it to what is needed
Very little has been done in R and D

Terrrible, not worth the headache.

None, worst program ever, delete this thing and use spreadsheets. or upgrade to a real software like procore.

Pros

Nothing, this is one of the worst programs ever to be implemented and forced on the field side of construction.

Cons

interface appears to be from 1985, crashes multiple times, resets and erases work in progress setting you back days. no clear path to update or search for RFIs, ASI's or general information. completing dailies on this thing is painful at best. sometimes will not send out documents even though it tells you it has, creating large contract document disputes. its a PM program forced on field supervision that does not help the field side at all.

Construction accounting and management software that includes all aspects of the business

Pros

I like that this very simple looking software with an old school interface has virtually every feature you need to get the job done.

Cons

It often has these glitches where you input all of your necessary data and recalculate expecting to see the finished product but it doesn't save your information and you have to do it all over again.

A large construction firm I worked with implemented CMiC and we were very happy.

Pros

The integration to our established accounting system worked very well. I am able to submit payment requests and track them through the system.

Cons

The GUI is not the sharpest, but flashy isn't always better. I believe in function over form in the end.
