Outdated interface, not intuitive to use

Pros

1. Has a mobile app that helps with capturing images of receipts for expenses
2. Works on multiple browsers (unlike some other applications that can only work on the older versions of internet explorer)

Cons

1. Typical SAP-style interface with lots of buttons and information fields. Easy to get lost in the detail and not know what information fields to fill in next, or where to click to advance to the next page.
2. No immediate error alert. Error alerts show up only after I've clicked "next" or "submit", not right after I fill in the erroneous information in the field.

Pros

The app! The ability to upload receipts from my phone that are automatically analyzed and categorized makes expense reports a breeze.

Cons

I would like more expense type options. Not everything I do fits into their categories.

Using Concur for Travel

Booking travel can be done all in ONE place which is super nice. Also your expenses are already kept in concur so you don't have to hunt down some of those receipts for airfare, hotels, etc.

Pros

Concur gives you a lot of options when it comes to hotels, flights and rental cars. Easy to submit the expenses and automatically routes it to the right people.

Cons

The problem when trying to book is that there are cheaper flights elsewhere if you do not book on concur. Also for my work conference there was a specific hotel I needed to book and it kept giving me errors until it randomly booked.

I find it easy to use.

Pros

It is easy to account for what you are spending and see, at a glance, where you stand YTD.

Cons

It can sometimes be rudimentary in how the program runs, so you have to make sure you click through all of the check boxes to ensure everything is complete.

Concur is really easy to use!

Using Concur is a much easier method and is easier to verify than methods I have used in the past. (ie. Excel spreadsheets)

Pros

I liked the tool that let you hook up your credit card(s) right to the app. It automatically matches my purchases with the receipts that I uploaded. At the end of the month, it took less than 10 minutes to submit my reports to my manager.

Cons

Sometimes the mobile version and the browser version wouldn't sync up. I'd stick to the browser version and definitely always double check everything before submitting.

Perfect for our busy office

It is very good, and easy to use. We have a staff that travels heavily.

Pros

Ease of use, and so many functions. Love being able to book airfare, hotel and car all in a one stop shop.

Cons

Would be nice if the itinerary of the plane flight booking would move over to the expense part of the site. Kind of pain printing and scanning to attach to expense.

Good expense tool

Overall easy to use, easy to track expenses, and easy to find the status of reports. Also nice to control notifications. One of the better tools I have used for business expense reporting.

Pros

Easy to use with built-in tutorials, some customization for company procedure is available.

Cons

I was unable to report a transaction as a pending card transaction. That can make some expenses fall outside the trip on which they occurred, since you have to wait for the transaction to post.

A great expense tool for the frequent business traveler.

Pros

Travel for business, it'll be fun! While part of that is true, there is nothing fun about the administrative work that follows when preparing expense reports. SAP Concur makes one of the most tedious tasks resulting from travel that much easier to swallow. Handfuls of receipts? No more. Snap a picture and ditch the paper copy. Manual expense entry? Not anymore, link your credit cards and import transactions. Link a transaction to a receipt, then add to an expense report with a few clicks.

Cons

Since the acquisition by SAP, there have been some bugs on the website where imported transactions won't be added to a report, or linking receipts has been flaky.

Easiest Expense Reports ever

Pros

I love that my credit card is connected and it already creates line items I can easily move to a report. I also love that I can take pictures of my receipts and just load them to Concur - no more saving mountains of receipts that I lose anyway.

Cons

When it marries with the travel side of things - booking planes and hotels, etc, things look a little confusing. Also i am not a fan of the itemized hotel evening breakdown. Just look at the total cost and receipt. If accounting wants to itemize, let them go back and itemize later. It causes difficulty when odd numbered taxes have to be navigated to equal out to the room cost.

We use Concur to book hotel and airfare. We also use it for all of our expenses and managing our corporate credit cards.

Pros

This is a one-stop-shop for travel and expenses. I love how it automatically populates your expenses and certain information tied specifically to that employee. It makes using it a breeze.

Cons

Sometimes I forget to attach a receipt. I think this feature should be prompted, if a receipt it required by the company.

System is intuitive but takes work to learn

Product functions well and can streamline expenses for a company with alot of people.

Pros

System does make expenses much easier for submitting, tracking and integrating with accounting. The travel portion can be a bit difficult to work with as there are many steps and not all necessarily apply to your company. Overall we are pleased.

Cons

It has so many features which is not always a bad thing but it isn't not that easy to use at first. If you have time to read the manual and use it more than once a month it will be beneficial to users.

Pros

It's so handy to have an app for entering expenses on the go.

Cons

As someone who doesn't regularly have expenses for reimbursement, I'm not sure what all the categories are looking for and what kind of information I should enter. It would be helpful to have a brief description for each box.

Its easy to assign assistants to help you process things. Most of the information multiple assistants could need can be uploaded ahead of time.

Its not connected to my company's main personnel network so if people leave the firm I have to manually adjust it.

I like being able to upload photos of receipts on the go. It makes it way easier than holding on to the receipts until I get back

Excellent Expense Software

We use it at work daily and it's a great place to keep all invoices. I just wished it can easily be matched or grouped to final products for reference.

Pros

Used it several times and it was so simple to use and have everything available to you on your fingertips for approval. You can edit and keep track of informatio.

Cons

No invoice tracking, difficult to match invoices with purchase orders. A lot of improvements can be made to the product. It is a resourceful software, just needs more.

Ease of use. Ability to link receipts to specific expenses. Also have to ability to detail expense for trips, conferences and specific meetings.

Cons

The warnings and messages indicating the expense needs more info are sometime vague or difficult to find out how to input the data.

Cons

I Love Concur

Pros

Very user friendly and intuitive. Streamlining the expense receipts and reimbursement extraction process while combining with travel booking is pretty ideal.

Cons

When entering a line item expense the date of transaction auto-populates to the day the report is being entered. Would be great to not have it auto-populate and force user to enter date in each expense item. Less confusion that way.
