Concur is a cloud-based expense and travel management software solution that enables executives to manage travel expenses. It allows finance executives to monitor expenses and cash flows related to travel expenditures.

Concur’s Travel and Expenses feature assists with travel processes, from booking to approval to payment. In addition, the software automates data capture from receipt images and submits expense reports for approvals.

Concur’s Invoice automates accounts payable processes by utilizing templates and predefined reports. The system can also customize workflows and automate vendor payments.

Concur’s Intelligence feature enables employees to create customized dashboards, providing a summary of multiple reports that enable finance managers to track travel expenses.

Concur also shares automated alerts with the finance team and provides reports and dashboards. Support is offered via phone. Users can even refer to online FAQs for basic inquiries.

    Concur really is an all encompassing expense reporting suite and ensures you do not miss any items in regards to your expenses

    Cons

    the software is way too busy for the average end user. You can spend hours trying to book flights or report your expenses. Once you get used to it its not bad but you really have to put in some time with it

    Generally I appreciate the ease of use. It saves time entering expenses, as well as sending out reminders to complete anything which has been sitting for any period of time.

    Pros

    I appreciate that I have the App anywhere I go. Its ease of use means I don't have to be sitting at an office desk to complete assigned tasks.

    Cons

    I find that over a wireless connection, there can be some slow input. This is not likely due to the application, but more to do with the connection.

    Overall we had an esay Concur Implementation within the company. There is a good client service, however there is a lot of space to improve within the tool.

    Pros

    It helps the company to keep track of employee´s expenses and set the company travel policies within the system.

    Cons

    Currently, the system it is not flexible with the hotel/flight options that offers to the employees. It is really limited.

    Concur is very easy and intuitive to use. Mobile app is also great and helps do expenses on the go.

    As the administrator, it's sometimes difficult to get certain features and reports customized without support. Reporting could be more streamlined

    Did not find concur a good tool for expense raising system

    Somehow our finance team is comfortable using concur, but for most of the employees it is a nightmare to use. Earlier we used SAP and was a breeze for all of us. It takes 10 times more time to submit an expense report in concur than SAP. Way too many unwanted exceptions while submitting the report and there is no help/guide to understand the meaning of those exceptions. Receipt upload feature is also bad, it merges all your receipts you uploaded for individual reports. I am done with this tool seriously.

    Only thing I liked is this tool has way many features.

    Cons

    1. Ease of use is not at all there.
    2. So many unwanted exceptions
    3. Worst User Interface, this may be good for experts, but for an employee who need to submit expenses, this is a nightmare.
    4. It merges all your receipts you uploaded for individual reports, creating hell lot of confusion to sort out them later.
    5. Local currency to Dollar conversion is very illogical, shows a different numbers on screen than the back-end reports.

    Concur is one of the industry leaders in expense systems for a reason - the functionality and interface is simple, the features easy to use, and the technology error-free. I really like how expenses from my company credit card are directly synchronized to my Concur account - with notifications of expenses posting, to boot! - so that I can directly pass charges into a report without needing redundant receipts. Even GPS-tracking for Uber fares are directly relayed into the system.

    Cons

    There can be a lag sometimes between the credit card account and the Concur system. Also, when itemizing hotel bills, things can be cumbersome if in a state where there are an abundance of separate taxes.

    Concur has definitely streamlined my expenses, but could be slightly more intuitive/user friendly.

    Pros

    I think concur is extremely convenient, and am glad my company offers this option for expenses. It doesn't take me long to complete expense reports, and it helps me stay organized and make sure I am actually getting reimbursed for all of my business costs. I like that you can start a report and then come back to it later (ex. if I forgot a receipt at home, I can still enter all the other details, and then attach the picture later).

    Cons

    Some of the pre-determined fields are frustrating, though I understand not allowing random values to be entered. Example. sometimes the city I'm submitting an expense for won't show up, and then I'll need to search around for a city that's close and also an available option within concur.

    This also may be due to a lack of concur training from my own company, but I don't really understand the difference between an expense "report" and a "request"- I'm not sure if these really matter at the end of the day, so would prefer options be streamlined and perhaps explained (like an FAQ, or ? you can hover over to answer common questions).

    I appreciate all of the functions, the app to use while traveling and ease of turning in the expense report. It is sure easier than an envelop that is handwritten with all of the expenses on it and then having it come back needing corrected!

    Cons

    I was lucky that our admin assistant was knowledgable about the software and i was able to give her access to set up my travel. But, by the same token I appreciate the ease of submitting the expenses.

    There is a need for software like this, that is the only thing I can think to say of a positive nature.

    Cons

    This software is quite simply poor quality, it is badly designed and it costs the user a large amount of time. Despite using it many times I continually get lost in its menus and have to read user guides to understand the sequence of the things I need to enter. It insists you enter spurious information exactly as it wants, for example, lodging requires you to enter room tax as a daily fee. Many of the hotels you might want to stay in are not in the drop-down menu, AirBnB is not there and when you want to enter service fee or cleaning fee you have to divide by the number of days and enter it as a daily room tax, usually this will not work because of errors caused by division and rounding up to the nearest cent so the software will not let you proceed. I could continue with examples like this. If your company buys this software you will lose a lot of time for no good reason. I am deeply disappointed in my university decided to purchase software, my colleagues uniformly feel the same way. I recommend strongly against its use.
