A clunky tool made my SAP.

Mostly Tuition Aid but some Travel Expenses.

Pros

Is an ok web based application. At least that's the version that I've used. There's a mobile version but I've never had the time to use. My employer uses this platform for expense reports. I'm currently going to school for my MBA so I've been using for tuition aid benefits. I would say the app is very complete and has tons of categories but is fairly clunky. Is like we're back to the 90s.

Cons

The workflow presented is a little confusing. For my tuition aid reports I first have to do an authorization request and then an expense report (after finishing the course). I wish the app would take step by step.

It should be structure something like this: Report (Class FIN 412) and inside this: Authorization Request (Step 1), Expense Report (Step 2). Instead is Authorization Request and inside this you got (Class FIN 412) and others; and separate Expense Report (Class FIN 412) and others.

Also I use the same location to upload my receipts as well as my grade. Why have not have to separate locations. Come on, is not a lot of code.

Expense reports via concur

I have used Concur a few times to expense travel costs at work. Overall, my experience has been positive but I think there could be improvements to the system, such as recognizing new charge numbers quicker.

Pros

Itemizing feature and ability to review before submitting expense report to your boss.

Cons

Concur is not very user friendly. I know coworkes that dread putting their expense report together so they ask the site administrator to process it through Concur for them. Also, the lag between a charge number being open in SAP and the charge number being recognized in Concur is too long.

Concur

Pros

Concur is customizable based on your expenses and it's possible to upload receipts. It's a software that can change based on your own personal needs.

Cons

It can take some getting used to, even (or maybe especially) with the customization.

Great way to reimburse travel for work

The best and easiest way to reimburse travel for work and stay organized.

Pros

I like the fact that i don't have to carry every single receipt with me into the office. I make sure they are scanned a loaded into Concur Expense and I don't have to worry about keeping track of 30 tiny pieces of paper.

Cons

I don't have any complaints at this time.

Expense submission is a quick process

Pros

UI is very intuitive, easy to train a new-hire to use the application

Cons

I sometimes feel that there are way too many steps and see room for some AI to pick up basic details from previous spending patterns

Great expense management suite

We have adopted this system for all cash related advances and travel reimbursements. I realized with use the system is not bad at all. I had had so many reservations when it was introduced

Pros

Less paper work
clear approval flows
split cost allocation is quiet useful for separating expenses in the event of combined budget lines
Cash advance policy enforcement through managing retiring timelines
I like that I can apply a cash advance on behalf of someone else

Cons

Limited definition of expenses sometimes confuses the user
Mismatch of approvers delays the approval flow

Deposit my money Please

I did do the screen lock as I felt the company behind the app knew what they were doing it a big software company. The ease of submitting my expenses and keeping my life in order all on my device is a plus i do not have to pull out a box later looking for something or input later and do a report just run it from the app.

Pros

I was introduced to this software working as a Scrum Master on my mobile device. I had to put the expenses from hotels, car rentals, food using this app. I do need to keep track of expenses and have a easy way to send them to the client to despoit into the bank account.

It does what it says and the company behind this product we felt it a soild app to use, compared to some upstarts that may not be around after a few years time.

Cons

Tell me to place a screen lock on my device is what it said after installing this app. I would like to have had a chocie of this as the screen lock added more time to my using the device and was a second password to add for using the app.

This was a debate here at the office of adding a screen lock if you did not have one in place before.

Great for Expense Management

Expense management and reporting Receipt capture Mobile capture and entry of a receipt and for that matter of an entire expense report. Easily track down previous expense reports to guide in replicating parts for the current report. Setting up your travel profile information in great detail to help our corporate travel agency be better equipped to align your booked travel plans with your preferences.

Pros

The ease by which you can associate receipt images to the reported expense.
Splitting up expense across project billing codes.
Point and click to direct the expense report to the appropriate approver.

Cons

Finding the names of other employees to add to a group event.
Calculating gas mileage surrounding the use of a personal car for business purposes.
The Links menu appears to include some out of date options.

Concur Review

I really enjoy Concur and don't feel like it lacks in any areas. I recently used it when being reimbursed for a company trip to Austin, TX.

Pros

This is the best (and only) expense system I have used professionally and I find it easy to use and efficient.

Cons

Some of the drop down tabs when describing expenses don't work when I am using the Concur app.

Not the easiest to navigate and submit expenses

Pros

I can expense what I need to. Email notifications/reminders for when something gets approved/disapproved.

Cons

Lack of coherence regarding the UI and overall layout of the web page. Was difficult to navigate around and try to find what I need to do and where I need to submit.

Lots of steps needed to submit info, incl. image/receipts.

Not sure if there is documentation or a guide on how to use it and/or train others how to use it?

Great tool although the bugs are frustrating

This tool has been great to streamline our accounting process'

Pros

I really love how easy the concept is. Snap a picture of the receipt, and you're pretty much done. The software does a great job of scanning the receipt, analyzing the price, and finally all of the relevant data thats important to the expense report.

Batching all of the receipts in to an expense report is extremely simple and communicating between errors or other things is pretty simple.

Cons

As the title insinuates, it is really buggy. Sometimes receipts get scanned and start to load and then just disappear.... It can be extremely frustrating.

A good tool for a frequent business traveler

Pros

I have been using concur to report my business travels and receive reimbursement of expenses for over half a year in mu current position. It is very intuitive, easy to use and the process is smooth. Thanks to that tool, the time needed to get money back is reduced and everything is tracked. The mobile app works very well and is easier to use than desktop version.

Cons

At first glance some of the functions are not clear - I had problems with cost allocation on accommodation costs, uploading receipts in desktop version could be more smooth (too much clicking between tabs, and saving with each step which takes time).

Mobile friendly and seamless expense tool

Overall, Concur has been a huge time saver. We used to have to use excel sheets to submit expense reports. Now, it can happen in real time, and it's much easier to process the reports and submit payment quickly.

Pros

The best thing about Concur is that the app user experience is fantastic and reliable. It's easy to take pictures of receipts, or even link your purchases to your Concur account to log automatically. When I use Lyft for work, for example, I use my "business account" to book the trip, and the receipt and trip log automatically in Concur. Another great thing about Concur is it's integration with TripIt and the ability to book work travel within Concur.

Cons

The travel booking is a bit clunky, and doesn't allow for integration of certain rewards programs, like Hotels.com. It also doesn't always catch all options for your search criteria. For example, when searching for a hotel in New York City on specific dates, the cheapest hotel I could find using Concur's Travel was $500 per night, but when I went on Hotels.com, I found one for $300 per night.

Pros

Cons
