The Critical Path is a cloud-based project and portfolio management solution for large and midsize businesses. The solution helps users maintain a master list of action items for follow-ups and reassignment, as well as a daily log to record notes and activities.

The Critical Path helps users schedule projects, manage resources and track staff capabilities using scenario analysis and bubble charts. It offers templates for meeting minutes that can be customized based on a number of methodologies including Agile, PMBOK and Prince 2.

The solution provides an activity dashboard that displays real-time project statuses. Reports can be configured to auto-generate and auto-send to specific contacts. The risk management plan enables users to capture proactive, detective and reactive risk actions, and allows allows users to configure risk reporting frequency and tasks.

Pricing is per user per month. Support is offered via email.

The software has many help menus; good for new project managers. Not necessarily required for PM's familiar with methodologies.

Pros

Can select any methodology for management of the project and software automatically adjusts templates/actions. Internal Kanbans are good. Software is the richest with overall functionality I've seen (to-date).
