ACR Systems offers a synergy of POS and retail management system for small and midsize retail stores in the United States. Their on-premise solution runs on Windows compatible devices and supports features like multiple payments, multiple currencies, age verification, tax exemptions, employee time clock, rental management and more.
In addition to a POS, ACR point-of-sale features integrated applications for inventory management, customer relationship management and retail accounting. ACR has a vendor-neutral open systems approach that allows users to design a custom hardware solution. The solution interfaces to existing systems and third-party applications, so retailers have the flexibility to integrate features like coupon-printing, gas pump interface, labor scheduling, and more.
ACR Systems is suitable for grocery stores, convenience stores, liquor stores, as well as stores selling clothing and shoes. The solution comes with 24/7 customer service.

With the low cost of it you have an excellent application, of course with its limitations since you can not demand much
It is not customizable and you have to adapt to it since it is a bit limiting, you can not ask so much for a low price

The customer service offered 24/7 comes in handy for late night problems or over the weekend problems.
It's great that this software has been a trusted partner since 1975 so that shows it's a great software with many great things. There is just about every feature that retailers could need in the marketplace today that is reliable and easy to use.
The one bad thing about this software would be that the only supported operating system is Windows 8.

Very stable software. Front end was very easy to use and flexible.
limited font end applications. we are a supermarket and would have liked to do special promotion for our customers. we found it be be limited on the promotions that we would have liked to do. Had to use a 3rd party to do DSD and Inventory Control. Would have been nice to have it all in one package.
If you are looking for a solid font end system that you are just going to do just typical promotions with, this is one of the best companies we have dealt with. How-every if you are looking to do Customer promotions that get complicated, this software we found was a bit limited.

The functions are intuitively obvious. Little training is required.
It's seems to be a bit old-fashioned in design.
Definitely run a trial for at least 30 days before committing.

Service delivery and prompt action during down time.
Expensive and customized software are not available in market.
Price point is only consideration as bulk is equipment.
