Great Company

Ease-of-use

It's very easy to use and not complicated at all. I learned the system pretty quickly. Generating reports took some time to remember.

Functionality

It's very functional, and although it may glitch here and there, it is still a good product.

Product Quality

The only issues are the glitches and getting kicked out. But, the quality is fair.

Customer Support

Customer support is good, and they help as needed. It may take some time for them to call back, but they do help.

I was new to the practice. I got set up quickly with a username and password, and the system was easy to learn and use.

The only thing I do not like is how the system tends to freeze up a bit and may kick you out. Then you have to log in again, and it's a hassle with a busy office.

Ease-of-use

It is very easy to use this system. Everything is right in front of you in the face sheet.

Functionality

It meets all our needs. Maybe a couple things can be added, but all in all, it is a great system

The quality of this system is great. Registration is easy, and all reports are easy to print.

The customer support is moderate. I have called before and put in tickets for support but did not receive a call back.

This vendor is great because they help you with training and to get all set up and ready to go live and begin to use the new sytem

There are glitches in the system and freezing screens. Sometimes when using the system, it will get stuck on a pop-up menu, and we have to close the whole system and begin again.

Recommendations

Be sure to be fully implemented before going live; otherwise, it may be stressful on office staff.

The transition from paper files to EMR was made very smooth by the technician assigned to our practice EMR system implementation. He was very efficient and very professional skillful individual. The affordability of this EMR system is one of the best features.

The tech support needs to be more proactive. Phone calls need to be returned in a more timely matter. Although they are usually pretty good, occasionally phone calls are returned several hours after the phone call is placed.

PrognoCIS Review

Ease-of-use

It isn't self-explanatory, but it does a lot. There is a need for training, but once you start using the program, it becomes second nature and very easy.

Functionality

It prompts the nursing staff to do tests that are due. It also has a well-designed, organized place for providers to reference pertinent medical information about their patients without having to click into different areas. It's obvious that the engineering team is dedicated to making the product comprehensive enough to be completely paperless.

Product Quality

With every update, they get better. The software is well-designed and keeps improving. The fact that it is web-based allows me to use it from my laptop at any of our office locations.

Customer Support

The entire team is polite and responsive. They really care about their product and our needs. The implementation managers are the very best. They know the product inside and out and are incredibly patient with the providers, management, and staff.

The best thing about the product is that it is customizable to meet our needs. The best thing about the vendor is that they are responsive to our needs and work closely with us like a partner. I like being able to merge multiple accounts with ease.

I would like more flexibility with mapping providers' schedules. In PrognoCIS, it is called Work Pattern.

Recommendations

Our pain management practice switched from another EMR product, so I have had two different experiences. The previous vendor had a great marketing team and was very convincing that they could provide a comprehensive product with superior service. Dealing with them on a day-to-day basis was frustrating. They could not deliver on their promises. PrognoCIS has delivered. We have been using PrognoCIS for close to two years, and the service is the same as when we were preparing for our GoLive date.

Great system!

Ease-of-use

It's easy for anyone to use. We have employees ranging from their 20s to their 50s using this software, and everyone says it is a easy software to navigate around and to use.

Functionality

This software functions very easily. It's the one thing that I enjoy. I enjoy knowing how easy and reliable this software can be.

Product Quality

It's upsetting when the system decides to slow down and sometimes freeze when I'm helping a patient over the phone and sometimes in person. We should be able to edit what to print on a summary sheet so we don't print up to six pages of information that is not valuable to the patient. I believe the medication, small summary of the visit, lab order information, and the next appointment date and time should be only on the summary sheet.

Customer Support

Sometimes when we have a problem, it can take up to hours or days to receive a response.

I love how easy it is took look up anything that you need. Finding a patient's information and prescriptions are super easy and fast to look at. Scheduling, canceling, and moving appointments have never been so easy. PrognoCIS is a great system to use and very easy for beginners.

The software can have small bugs and issues sometimes. Sometimes, the system will be very slow or freeze. Also, sometimes, I wish I could edit what section to print when it comes to the summary sheet at the end of the patient's appointment. Most of the information on the summary sheet is useless for the patient and unnecessary for the patient to see.

Recommendations

I recommend using this software. I've used two others before, but they do not compare to this one. It's very easy to use, especially if you're new to the clinic and have to pick up the software use.

Everything. When there are issues, we can not get in touch with anyone. When we finally do, they say it will be taken care of, and it isn't. I have sent and left messages about several issues that I have had and have not gotten a call back. Whenever there is an update, it messes our system up, and when we call to try and get it fixed we are told that there is nothing they can do.

I do not have any recommendations for anyone evaluating software like this.

Ease-of-use

It is very user-friendly; it's easy to understand by all users.

Functionality

We often ask the providers if everything is working well for them, and they don't ever have any complaints.

Product Quality

We are pleased with the quality of this product. Our only complaint is when a patient is entered in PrognoCIS, we wish it would cross over into our EMR with the correct provider. Instead, it always defaults back to the owner/physician and has to be changed.

Customer Support

Again, given that we have the option to contact them through email, it makes it much less difficult to get our problem addressed.

I find the program very easy to use once you have the correct training.

After 20 years with one system, it has been difficult for me to adjust. However, I have spoken with other offices that are saying the same about other suppliers. It has taken a few months, but every time I have an issue, they patiently help me, even if it is a repeat question or problem

Overall, the product works well for our clinic; however, there are definitely some holes in the system that, when fixed, would result in a much better user experience.

Depending on whom I speak with, the support I get varies. The support team isn't very supportive the majority of the time. They alway say the reason we have issues is on our end and not the system's. It takes a long time for us to get answers, and usually the result is not satisfactory.

I have worked with this EMR for 4 years; it works sufficiently.

Ease-of-use

Buttons/tabs are easy to follow through an encounter, but it takes a long time to load between screens.

It's slow but useful when it does work. It's modifiable but takes alot of effort to modify with tech support.

Product Quality

The speed between screens is often poor. It need messages in the chart (not the inbox) that can be added on to as each person/user adds, like a message board thread.

Customer Support

Often, my cases don't get answered/resolved for months. Often, I have to leave a message when I'm having an urgent issue. It's quite infuriating.

Nice, friendly software for EHR

It is very user-friendly. The system is very easy to use, and their customer representatives are really helpful.

Functionality

PrognoCIS has everything in one place, like scheduling appointments, creating claims, and sending claims to insurance carriers. So I don't have to log on to any other screen to send my claims, which saves a lot of time.

Product Quality

The quality of the product is super. It works really fast, so it saves a lot time in the office to do other things, unlike other software with which I have had an awful experience. With that software, the system took a lot of time to download information and also crashed very often.

Customer Support

Customer support is really friendly. They helped me a lot to understand PrognoCIS. They really showed me how to utilize PrognoCIS in a fast and easy manner. They returned all my phone calls in a timely manner.

For our provider, it was a lot of maneuvering thorough templates to complete the progress note. She felt overwhelmed.

Functionality

We are a unique facility, so we don't quite fall into the regular physician office in terms of the demographic page. We also have multiple people to send physician notes and appointment letters to. PrognoCIS never got our letters quite right, the tagging. They kept trying, but it still wasn't right.

Product Quality

The program still has too many glitches in it. Trying to work with the programmers and salespeople was very time-consuming.

Customer Support

It was very difficult to reach someone when we had an urgent situation. They responded a few days later, sometimes longer.

Likes Best

The demographic page was adaptable for our needs. I like the ability to schedule and view multiple providers and their willingness to customize what they could to fit our needs.

Likes Least

They've have communication breakdowns, and it takes a good deal of time to complete requests. There are a lot of glitches still in the program. There's a lack of complete training. We're not able to scan over 30 pages at a time into a patient chart. We were never able to use the fax inbox for both our locations; it only worked at one location, even after several attempts by the technician and costly IT expenses.

Recommendations

Make sure you are all completely trained and using the program during the grace period and make sure it is going to fit your needs.

From primary care to urgent care, it meets all of our needs.

With each upgrade, the quality of the product has been enhanced. The patient account screen on the billing module is a great feature. It lets you navigate to any screen of any billing transaction of the patient from one single screen and any information related to patient's billing can be pulled up from the same screen.

The customer support has been great. All the requests we have made so far have been delivered in timely fashion.

Making sure everything is compatible after updates is tricky. Before the upgrades, make sure to attend the webinars on the upgrade features.
