    Just what i was looking for!

    I had been in the market for a scheduling software that provided not only ease of use, but also authorization counts and reminders for patients. Working in a physical therapy clinic, having current and up-to-date authorizations is a must! We needed a schedule that would alert us to when a patient was due for another authorization, and would not just allow us to book the appointment without warning first.

    Easy to use, intuitive, great warning system about overbooking and authorizations

    Cons

    No cons so far, but we have only used the product for a month now.

    The base product is a very solid scheduling software system. When I get to interact with the technical staff that support our interface and the product enhancements to AE, I enjoy our conversations.

    Cons

    The product has not evolved in the direction we need and we are unable to modify the software to better meet our needs. While I feel the vendor has listened to our requests, very few have been incorporated into the software.

    We have used AppointsPro for several years and have reviewed Appointments Everywhere as we are in need of an upgrade. We really like the functionality of this product and the ease of interfacing with our registration product to provide quick case development. One feature we have found successful is the text message reminders for our pts. it has increased productivity and decreased errors. Appointment history feature is excelllent and provides a detail description of who and what was altered.

    Difficulty to identify us as a client when we require service, slows down correction time.

    This appointment software was easy to use and extremely user friendly.

    Cons

    The one thing that I least like about this product is that we aren't using it any more. We are a very busy, yet small, dermatology practice and this software was our appointment scheduler for many years. The only reason we aren't still using it is because "corporate" decided to go with a different PM software and forced us to switch. I would switch back to SpectraSoft in a heartbeat if given the chance.

    I was really impressed with the training provided to us prior to using the software. We scheduled three separate one hour sessions via GoToMeeting.com. Our rep provided extensive training on how to use the software. They are very accommodating to ongoing support and any questions that may arise. If you are going to be using this software on an ongoing basis, I highly recommend taking notes during training sessions so that you can reference them later.

    Cons

    What I like least about the vendor was that we were initially quoted different prices on the mobile feature and templates used for super billing. First, we were told that we could use this software through a mobile device, we would just have to pay a monthly fee. After we signed our contract and started training, we were then told that because we only purchased limited number of licenses, that we were unable to use this application through a mobile device. In the end, SpectraSoft stuck to their initial word and offered us use on our mobile device for a monthly fee. A reason we chose this software over others was due to the compatibility with mobile phones.

    Another issue we encountered was that we were initially quoted $200 for a template to use for superbilling. After pursing the template, we were then told it would be over $600, which was very frustrating for us. In the end, we decided not to purchase the template due to the expense.

    It's pretty simple to use. The monthly cost is inexpensive. This software works well, and the technical support is good.

    Cons

    There are hidden costs that the sales force does not tell you about. There are costs for training, for texting or auto reminder calls, for any small adjustments that need to be made. Also they don't tell you that you have to pay for three years, or you do not receive the monthly quoted rate. They also did not tell us that the mobile version costs extra and is only provided to their larger clients.
