About Medios EHR


Medios EHR is a cloud-based solution that facilitates access to patient records through a browser on a number of different web-enabled devices. It is a fit for different practice sizes and can serve the needs of a range of medical specialties.

Key features include adaptive documentation, e-prescribing, real time dashboards, inter-office messaging, voice recognition, disease and laboratory management as well as device connectivity.

Included in the system are communication portals for patients and partners, which allow medical professionals to contact patients and third-party providers. The Patient Portal has specific functions for appointment requests, updates for allergies and medications and other necessities.

Medios EHR’s integrated “Meaningful Use” dashboard can keep track of a medical practice’s compliance with ONC Standards. In addition, a workflow module monitors patient progress throughout treatment. The software’s document management system receives incoming faxes and lab results directly, organizing documentation. Medios EHR’s monthly subscription fee includes live technical support.

Everything I need

Pros

For starters, their entire operation is in the US. Nothing is outsourced. Aside from the obvious reasons why that's important, it's really amazing what they can do with the software. They integrate with different labs and machines that my other EHR failed at. By the way, they did all that for free for me. They have never left me alone throughout my time with them (two years) and have given me complete VIP access, even though I'm a smaller single physician practice. This system has made my life easier; everyone in the office has more time. Their tools/features make everything so simple. I know very little about Meaningful Use, but with Medios and their support, I was able to attest. Not only was I able to attest, but their staff helped me out every single step of the way. These people have really earned my respect, and that's not something I throw around lightly.

Cons

The price is really fair, and it's a really good system. They've done so much for me, there's really nothing I can complain about.

Big Thank you to Medios

Our office is quite unique. We have four physicians, two are techies and two are not at all. We knew implementing an EHR would be tough. The first EHR we chose was seemed great and they offered us training and custom templates at no charge. We thought how could we lose. Well we lost, it was a disaster. The training was basically an hour with some handouts and videos. The "custom" templates where impossible to work with and had nowhere near the content of what we saw on our demo. So on we went and started the entire process all over again. My advice, don't overlook the implementation process, its key to successful EHR implementation. After seeing about half a dozen demos, Medios EHR caught our eye. We were delighted to see that they do in fact do all of their training by a live person and even better they do not limit the training hours. It was unlimited for our office. Our implementer M.O.(Im just using her initials) was a blessing. She was educated, professional, and Medios very well. Our implementation took approx. 4-5 weeks, which was impressive with our staff. M.O. customized the templates for each of the providers and these templates were not mickey mouse, they had content and were really easy to use. Moving on to our experience with the software. Its really easy to use. We have staff that find iphones difficult that are using medios with ease. So now our office is running smooth. Im not involved with the billing, but I will say our billing department has stated they are very happy with the Practice Management/billing part of Medios. So for the pas 8 months with Medios our office has been running smooth, the staff is happy, Im happier as a physician, and even our patients are feeling the benefit. I highly recommend this system to my colleagues and to anyone interested in cloud EHR.

Medios Review From Pain Management and Wellness

Pros

I'm the office manager of a medium-sized pain management organization. Medios is easy to use and is backed by great trainers and support. They go through a real implementation, and training is live and one-on-one. This is the only system we reviewed that does this. Everyone else skimps or relies on videos for instruction. During the implementation, they customized our templates. And this was real customization. Not just adding or removing a few items from a standard note. I was elected as the superuser and oversaw the entire implementation, so I have a good understanding of their process. It was like an exact science. Everything was planned out perfectly and handled with utmost care. All I can say is all three of our physicians are completely happy with Medios.

Cons

The only problem is that we didn't find them earlier. Here's the reality with this system: it's a really great EHR and has a great team behind it. It's hard to say you like something least when these guys did everything to make us happy. If there was an issue, it was typically very minor, and we always had resolution almost immediately.

Excellent Product, Excellent Implementation, Excellent Support

Pros

I really love their ability to get things done. Even though we are on the opposite sides of the country, my implementation went super smooth. Regardless of what time I called or needed someone, someone was always there for me. Their support is not outsourced, either; even if you just call their main line, whoever answers really knows their stuff. On top of that, it's just a really excellent EHR. This company has the best of both worlds: a first class EHR with first class support.

Cons

What can I say that's bad? I'm happy happy with these my decision to be with IOS Health Systems.

I have been the office manager for Dr. Burton for 2 years, and I worked at a large orthopedic practice prior. We had just begun the Medios EHR and Medios PM implementation when I began working here, so I was very involved right from the beginning with getting our practice up and running with Medios. Since I do the billing for the office, I was worried about learning a new PM software, but the billing system really is the easiest I've ever used. We get any rejection/denial messages right in our system, and by using the ERA payment posting tool, it takes very little time to post payments and reconcile our A/R. Also, their new contract manager has made a difference because I can identify any overpayments or underpayments immediately rather than having to wait. I have no complaints whatsoever. Our staff has found the EHR to be easy to learn and use every day (scheduler, reports, task manager, incoming lab results, etc). Dr. Burton had a hard time at first until the Medios trainer showed him how to use Dragon voice recognition. Since then, he has improved by leaps and bounds. He often says how much easier life is now that he can access his patient records on his iPhone and iPad from the hospital. Overall we have been very satisfied with our choice of EHR and PM. I used another EMR at the last practice, and this is better by far!

Long time user- 10 out of 10!

Pros

I am a cardiologist and have my practice located in a large hospital in Miami. The thing I like best about this product is how simple it is. I have all of the bells and whistles available but still have no trouble with using my EMR. Every time one of my colleagues sees me using this software, they tell me how beautiful it is and how much better my progress notes are than any other specialist in the area. Many times, these friends of mine ask me for the name of my sales rep at IOS because they want to sign up!

Cons

It is hard to say what I like least. I have been using this software for almost 5 years and have had very little issues. I use it on a Mac at home and an iPad when I'm seeing patients in my office or doing rounds at the hospital. Every time I have requested for something from this company, they have provided it to me so I am left with little to complain about.

I am the office manager for a 5 physician pediatric practice in Michigan. My husband is the senior partner in the practice. We tried implementing a free EMR for about 5 months before we realized it just wasn't going to work & began shopping for a new system. After interviewing many companies and doing countless demos we chose to work with IOS Health Systems because of how user-friendly the system seemed. We have been live with the software for 9 months and things are going very well. Even one of our physicians who has been practicing for 40 years is doing very well and had little trouble learning the system because our Implementer took special care to make sure he was comfortable with everything. Now that we have been using the system for some time I am comfortable saying that this is really an excellent company to work with. The customer service reps contact me regularly to make sure that everything is going well and they offer free training all the time for new features that they develop. Our office just seems to run more smoothly and be more organized (even in our Accounts Receivable!) since we have been using Medios. I recommend it without hesitation!

New to Medios and Lovin it

I was looking for a software that would provide me with templates that would cover all my types of services and allow me to take control over my practice. I had used a web based system before which failed miserably due to slowness and service issues. I had heard good things about Medios so I wanted to give them a try. After my initial demo I was hooked. It had everything I needed. The most important thing for me is that they created templates for each type of service I offer. I was not limited to boring and involved canned templates. My custom templates keep my documentation quick, clean, and accurate. I have significant more time to spend with my patients and much less of a pain when documenting which is really win-win. My implementer was knowledgeable and I don't know how but she always had the answers to my questions. She never limited my training time or anything. Whenever I needed something I just called and within a reasonable time I would have my request taken care of. Im still new with the system, but so far Im really impressed with the entire package.

I would certainly recommend Medios to my colleagues. We are a 4 physician medical center that has been serving patients in our area for 18 years. We had a "less than positive" experience with a prior system which caused us a significant loss in productivity and a lot of staff frustration. We found IOS to be very honest with us in the sales process and this was one of the reason's why we chose them back in June. They did a great job in assessing our needs for implementation given that it was a bit complex since we needed to transition from a system that was not fully functioning within our center. They adjusted their process to work with our physician's preferences (admittingly we were somewhat demanding) and took the appropriate steps with my office manager to ensure our receivables were accounted for and properly transitioned. To date we have all physicians using the system properly and our claims process is once again functioning correctly. I cannot say that switching a system was enjoyable but I will certainly acknowledge the hard work put forth by their staff to ensure that we were taken care of. They did an excellent job.
