meridianEMR is cloud-based and on-premise ONC-ATCB certified electronic health record (EHR) for small, midsize and large urologists and general surgeons. It is suitable for surgical subspecialities, including vascular and breast surgery.

Primary features of meridianEMR include practice management, analytics, access to medical resources online, automated software distribution of templates and drug database updates. The patient portal allows users to pre-register patients and keep a record of patient/office interactions. The  UROAnalytics module allows users to analyze patient EHR data and derive trends and outcomes to compare them to meridianEMR network of providers, regionally and nationally. meridianEMR offers integration with other practice management and medical billing systems.

It is compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac. iPhone and iPad applications are also offered. The iPhone app allows physicians to create and edit records when making hospital rounds without an internet access.

Extremely poor tech support

Avoid this company if you want a profitable business.

Pros

None, this is a horrible product with virtually no support, worst decision we made, should have gone with Centricity who has excellent support.

Stay away from meridian if you want your medical practice to lose money

Meridian doesn't take customer service seriously. The software updates are constantly filled with errors that take months to fix. My complaints about the patient portal have been unaddressed for months. My rep does not return phone calls or emails and promises to address issues that never get addressed. The portal told patients wrong appointment times for weeks and costed us thousands in missed appointments and a huge burden of frantic phone calls from patients. This isn't the software for you if you want to make your business successful.

Cons

Poor customer service, update suggestions get ignored for years, often times the templates aren't made well with lots of grammar mistakes.
