TRAKnet Software

TRAKnet is an electronic medical records (EMR) solution built specifically for small podiatry practices. Users can choose between cloud-based and on-premise deployments. Key features include charting, billing, eligibility, coding and patient management.

TRAKnet’s EMR integrates billing, charting and scheduling within the solution. It is also able to automatically convert ICD-9 codes into ICD-10. Users can run a real-time comparison report on what codes they billed each month.

TRAKnet enables each user to customize their home screen to include important items for each specific role. The solution also includes a patient portal that allows patients to enter demographic and insurance information as well as request appointments and prescription refills.

It allowed me to access and update patient info. for billing and charting purposes.

Pros

It is basic and does not have to much going on, so it does not overwhelm the user. I have used more complex software but if your practice does not require a lot, then Traknet would be fine.

Cons

It is limited as far as functions, but then again it is podiatry specific. Some of the functions could be updated.
