I've been using TechCanary for over a year and trust me, there's nothing not to like. Unlike an out-of-the-box system, if you don't like something - change it!

At the end of the day you'll have a system that does exactly what you need it to do for about a tenth of the price that a so-called industry giant would charge, and I think we're all aware the industry giants also come with giant limitations.

The customization can be as little or as great as you want. I'm able to make workflows for lines of coverage so that my staff doesn't have to guess what to do next. No more having it all up in your head or looking at a manual. This increases efficiency and reduces E&O.
The Tech support is OUTSTANDING. Very timely. They work incredibly hard to keep you working as efficiently as possible.
You do need to know Salesforce but the learning curve is very small. There are some requirements to manage workflow that is dictated by Salesforce (i.e. can't map between objects, can only be done through parent).
Ask about generating applications and certificates - the have a great way to upload information and keep most current apps/certificates available and then can easily edit. Documents can be shared as links vs. pdfs so does not take up space. You should have a salesforce in house team to help with workflow.
