Although urologists are the company’s target market, meridianEMR is suitable for all types of surgical sub-specialties, including vascular surgery and breast surgery, as well as practices of all sizes.
meridianEMR is an on-premise EHR system with an HL7 interface to allow for integration with a number of different practice management and medical billing systems. meridianEMR also offers an integrated practice management module for buyers who want to purchase one system from the same vendor. The system comes pre-loaded with more than 150 templates designed specifically for urology or general surgery, including prostate screens, vasectomies, kidney stones and more. Integration is possible with a number of different devices, including x-ray and urodynamic machines.
meridian EMR's UROAnalytics module gives providers the ability to analyze patient EHR data for trends and outcomes that can be compared to the meridianEMR network of providers, regionally and nationally. meridianEMR has a native iPhone and iPad app, and is also Mac-compatible. The iPhone app does not require Internet access, allowing physicians to create and edit records while making hospital rounds. The integrated patient portal allows for patient pre-registrations and streamlined patient/office interactions.

Meridian doesn't take customer service seriously. The software updates are constantly filled with errors that take months to fix. My complaints about the patient portal have been unaddressed for months. My rep does not return phone calls or emails and promises to address issues that never get addressed. The portal told patients wrong appointment times for weeks and costed us thousands in missed appointments and a huge burden of frantic phone calls from patients. This isn't the software for you if you want to make your business successful.
Poor customer service, update suggestions get ignored for years, often times the templates aren't made well with lots of grammar mistakes.
Avoid this software for your medical practice.
