I've been using TechCanary for over a year and trust me, there's nothing not to like. Unlike an out-of-the-box system, if you don't like something - change it!
As an agency owner, I've demoed over twenty management systems looking for something that until now didn't exist - a constantly evolving, technologically advanced product that would allow me to expand and improve on my own particular business processes while providing me with a stable platform and excellent customer service. That product is TechCanary. With it, I'm able to combine every aspect of agency management into one seamless user interface that's as attractive as it is functional. It's an excellent product out of the box, but one that gives you the freedom to expand in any direction you can think of, and some you wish you thought of earlier. If you like programming and doing things on your own, customizing TechCanary will be more fun than you can imagine. But what if you're not computer savvy ? No problem! There are literally hundreds if not thousands of consultants you can hire to help you create the perfect system that manages your agency the way that you work, not the way someone else thinks you should work. At the end of the day you'll have a system that does exactly what you need it to do for about a tenth of the price that a so-called industry giant would charge, and I think we're all aware the industry giants also come with giant limitations.

The customization can be as little or as great as you want. I'm able to make workflows for lines of coverage so that my staff doesn't have to guess what to do next. No more having it all up in your head or looking at a manual. This increases efficiency and reduces E&O.
The Tech support is OUTSTANDING. Very timely. They work incredibly hard to keep you working as efficiently as possible.
You do need to know Salesforce but the learning curve is very small. There are some requirements to manage workflow that is dictated by Salesforce (i.e. can't map between objects, can only be done through parent).
Ask about generating applications and certificates - the have a great way to upload information and keep most current apps/certificates available and then can easily edit. Documents can be shared as links vs. pdfs so does not take up space. You should have a salesforce in house team to help with workflow.

The ability to customize the system on an open Salesforce platform sounded amazing. Analytic potential is unlimited which is phenomenal. The promise of less data entry to capitalize on more employee time for cross selling and consultation was very attractive.
Oh, where to start? We've been in contract for over a year for migration. They finally migrated data last month but only partial data. Acord forms are lacking in ALL areas. 90% of the info does not populate. Only Acord 25"s allow for signature so all other documents have to be printed, signed & scanned like it's the year 1999. Auto ID Cards only allow the first auto to fill, not a solution for multi-vehicle & fleet policies. EOPI's only allow for 1 holder to populate. COI's only print or save pdf's one at a time. Not feasible for issuing multiple renewal COI's,. Their tech staff's solution is to "type over the information". WHAT? We haven't had downloads in over 45 days. Guess we just hope our direct bill accounts are in good standing & carriers are paying commissions correctly. They recommended a year ago to contract with Accounting Seed, Conga, Docusign and a few others. That was a waste of thousands of $"s as TechCanary has to be operational in order for the other systems to work. They have no implementation team. Tech Support and webinars are your training. Tech Support tries their best to train but there's no training schedule and the sessions are squeezed in between normal trouble shooting calls and their internal staffing issues. Basically if a Tech Support person is out sick or on vacation no other staff steps in to pick up the training. Running out of room to type more. We're looking for a new provider. This is not software as a solution...

CanaryAMS is really helping my small agency like no other agency management system. The things that would be difficult to do with other AMS, CanaryAMS does them with ease. I highly recommend them.. Their staff is top notch too. I truly enjoy working with them.

What you get for the cost is amazing! Salesforce license AND an agency management system for $100 a month, you can't beat it! Also, the capability and customization with Reid and his team is second to none.
