Designed for small to mid-sized businesses, PeopleHR provides a platform for all key HR functions, including applicant tracking, personnel tracking, performance review, and more. The system includes an employee-tracking database, that allows users to create new employee records, fill in key contact information, and store documents. PeopleHR includes unlimited document storage, so users can attach as much paperwork as necessary to each employee profile.

Within the applicant tracking module of PeopleHR, users can create new job offerings, as well as build out a custom career page that matches the branding of a company’s site. Each job posting can be completely customized. Once a candidate applies, they’re added to the recruitment pipeline, and recruiters can view all candidate information.

Within the performance module, employees can request 360-degree reviews for receiving feedback from peers. Managers can set goals for employees, and track their progress in real time. The web-based solution can also be accessed from anywhere at anytime.

It hasn't properly worked for us from day one, with issue are issue. They expect you to do a lot of the setting up yourself using unclear instructions and when trying to get support from their 'live chat' they often take a couple of days to get back to you.

PeopleHR is a great piece of software and has replaced a archaic system, am excited about the new possibilities and very excited to try the new module, the more we integrate the easier this all becomes.

Cons

My only con is the fact all help are done by tutorial videos and not necessarily help with nuances you may occur when you would like human interaction more for training purposes. However we do live in a modern world

So easy to use and expertly integrated with other cloud based software, its really changed our business no end. Employees are more engaged and buyers are subsequently more happy meaning sales are up. After using PHR for over one year we can really see the difference in all departments

PeopleHR is simple and easy to use. It doesn't take long to get your head around it! The customer service is good, I always receive a reply fairly quick.

Pros

You can add the planner from PeopleHR to Google Calendar so it's fairly easy to see who is where throughout the week!

Cons

You can't add your own org charts, performance reviews and things like that.

We moved from a basic in house developed intranet and lots of spreadsheets to People HR and have found that the benefits have been great. It has taken us a while to get up and running, mainly because of the way that we were working previously. The management team is very happy with the ability to record the objectives, goals and training ready for next years performance reviews. Everyone likes being able to see how much holiday they have got left on log in!

People HR seems like a fantastic system. From submitting expenses to recruitment to requesting holidays, PeopleHR allows any number of employees from any type of business to manage their data, and have their line managers approve actions of various elements. The system is also priced very reasonably, and there is a great deal of online support available to help use the system.

Although the system is highly comprehensive, it can be quite complicated to use for the average employee...maybe it would benefit companies if the system was simplified.

Advice to Others

First consider the modules that the company requires to be cost-effective, as each version of PeopleHR contains various modules.

Vendor is easily accessible when there are questions in regards to the software and the best thing about the product is the ability to store all of our HR information in one location and map performance/holidays etc.

The support in implementation has been fantastic. The product is very easy to use, well priced and I don't find that I am working for the system - it works for me!! The training day was well structured and my queries were answered. Everyone I have spoken to at People HR has good knowledge of the product. It will certainly add value to our HR function and management team.

Likes Least

One slight annoyance with the planner is everytime you open it, it opens the current month. I would prefer it if it didnt do that. Saying that, I can see why some other users might like that feature.

Recommendations

I looked to see how this compared to the system I already had in place. People HR ticked all the boxes.

Training could have been organised in a different way to allow input of training plans that will feed into training records.

Recommendations

It is a good easy to use "software". I wouldn't recommend it for big companies. It is manageable up to 50 employees.

I have worked on a number of HR platforms in the past, but this is the best. It's so simple to use. It's just common sense. Really glad we chose People - I was a little scared of HR software previously! The support you receive couldnt be better. Despite how many customers they have, the phone never rings more than a few times, and the support staff remember you/your company. Friendly staff also.

There really isnt anything much I can say about this - the only problems that we have had have been the fact that we have had to buy a plugin to merge our fob in's with People HR and that we cannot print an org chart directly from there.

Recommendations

Honestly - its great. I have recommended it to a few of my friends who work in the HR field.

There were a number of key areas that I like (as an HR Consultant) about PeopleHR, they are:

The ease of set up. You can from sign up to engaging with the system in around 24 hours. They give you some handy Excel sheets to aid with bulk upload and they manage this for you.
The ability to test the system for 30 days. A lot of HR information systems give you 14 days which is too short to get a proper sense of the functionality.
Personable support. More often than not, I have had my queries responded to in less than 15 minutes. There is one element that I found annoying but I'll pick that up in the section below!
You don't need a credit card to sign up. I think that this is key as it means that they are trusting you to engage with the software rather than being forced to sign up to something by mistake.

Not that much really apart from the odd occasion when the response from support has been a little less than helpful. It's felt like the responder hasn't properly read my query and just responded with a very generic response

Take the time to test out the system, maybe get a small group of people involved.

ATS: Recruitment process tool has been instrumental in improvements in our recruitment campaigns effectiveness and processing.
Self Service: The product in intuitive and very user friendly. It enables the staff to be engaged with the HR team, managers and colleagues remotely and part of the engagement process across the group.
E- Sign off is a great function to enable acknowledgement and sign off of communication and process awareness enabling a reduction in administration paperwork
Technical : Get help videos very useful enabling support for HR Admin and Line management 24/7

Customer Service : Response times are generally quick however resolution times do not match the same high level.
Live chat is a good enhancement.

Recommendations

When transferring legacy data onto the platform spend the time to audit and cleanse your existing data prior to integration.

This has been a great find, as they are a relatively new company there are constant updates and you can always suggest additions to be included within their next release, but from going from a excel based holiday management system which required paperwork this system was a dream. The ATS part of the system has been excellent. Great service and a great price.

At the beginning I found some small annoyances with simple teething problems but as the system has moved on these have been eliminated and it is now a case of keeping up and ensuring we are using the system to its maximum. I have requested an outlook invite attached to holiday requests as this prevents our staff from double input, this has not been added and so far this is the only bug bear I have.

Recommendations

If you are a small to medium size business and you want to make HR simple then this is the system for you.

The ease of use and the value for money. We looked at several different HR applications prior to implementing PHR. We also tried a solution that ended in disaster as it was never actually implemented. PHR is the best product on the market for a small business and gets better with each upgrade. For Raventa it is one of our 3 platform systems alongside our ERP and quality systems.

The things I dont like are few and crop up on an occasional basis. Off the top of my head...there are some features that dont function as I think they are intended but they are minor functions. I would also like to brand the look and feel to be more representative of our company marketing.

Recommendations

If you want to pay a lot more then you certainly can. If, like us, you are a small company with limited resources then this is simply the best value for money in the UK.

As a growing business we were looking for HR software that would provide ease of access for personnel to support how we develop people, performance review, manage holidays and in particular we wanted to be able to track holiday planning and permissions to ensure vital cover.

The facility this software has for supporting performance development, training and knowledge accrual is also an important feature for us.
The support for the software has been excellent and the training tutorials that go with the service have enabled people to become competent very quickly indeed.

PHR is a really easy to use piece of software that has changed the way we do HR. It empowers our staff to manage their own holidays and get a good overview of any lateness or illness to be able to monitor it. It helps our managers keep a close eye on their team and keep on top of 121s, return to work forms and lateness.

Not all of the features are mobile browser friendly, with some tabs missing and others not working very well.

Recommendations
