Designed for small to mid-sized businesses, PeopleHR provides a platform for all key HR functions, including applicant tracking, personnel tracking, performance review, and more. The system includes an employee-tracking database, that allows users to create new employee records, fill in key contact information, and store documents. PeopleHR includes unlimited document storage, so users can attach as much paperwork as necessary to each employee profile.

Within the applicant tracking module of PeopleHR, users can create new job offerings, as well as build out a custom career page that matches the branding of a company’s site. Each job posting can be completely customized. Once a candidate applies, they’re added to the recruitment pipeline, and recruiters can view all candidate information.

Within the performance module, employees can request 360-degree reviews for receiving feedback from peers. Managers can set goals for employees, and track their progress in real time. The web-based solution can also be accessed from anywhere at anytime.

It has streamlined many of our processes.

Pros

Very easy to use, helpful advice from support team, employees love the App for booking holiday. The software is regularly developed and updated to bring further efficiencies and they're genuinely interested in user feedback.

Cons

Implementation could be better advised/directed and possibly the cost of training the administrator absorbed into the costs to enhance the overall experience.

People HR really helps a lot with the admin side of my role. The workflows save time with onboarding and offboarding and the ability to run queries off of anything in the system is very helpful.

Cons

Sometimes the functionality of the system doesn't always work. Occassionally there are simple tasks that I would expect it to be able to do but it can't. However, this seems to be improving with every update.

Ease of booking annual leave and saving employee details is great. Does not require a lot of training to use

Cons

You can shape the system into whatever you want. The performance module is a fantastic addition and is easy to use from both the managers and employees perspective.

Cons

Sometimes the system can be a little clunky and we've had to build workarounds for a number of processes.

It's really easy to use for both the HR team and the employees. Employee's also really love that there's an app that they can access from home.

Cons

It is a bit limited in its abilities for some areas and you can't adjust it to suit your needs. Additionally in some reports, such as absence, it is hard to decipher the information that you want.

The product is generic with the ability to customise different aspects. People HR listen to their customers feedback and when a new release is developed there are tweaks to the product as well as new additions to the feature set.

Cons

The rights of access could be more granular. Some features require users to have set up the app (Pulse).

I would recommend this product highly.

Pros

Its is so straightforward. I am new to the system and have picked it up easily within a few days. If I am stuck I have used the support function and have been responded to quickly, politely and helpfully. Fab!

Cons

I haven't found anything to date that I have concerns with. Compared to the previous HR system I used this is a breathe of fresh air.

Both the sales, implementation and customer service staff are friendly, knowledgeable and really can't do enough to help you.

Pros

Ability for employees and managers to self service holiday and absence management. Looking forward to trialling the new employee feedback Pulse functionality.

Cons

Some limitations. Mainly functionality between the app and desktop. Expenses app only, but timesheets are desktop only :-/ However PeopleHR are constantly listening and making improvements with an 'ideas' website that allows users to make suggestions and vote on suggestions made by other people.

A really great system ideal for a small to medium sized businesses where budgets need to be carefully considered. The support team are always willing to work with you to help resolve issues and even accept feature requests. I recommend this product highly - it has made the administration associated with my job much easier to handle.

Pros

Almost instant replies from the support team which are always helpful and well thought out. Feature requests are accepted which is fantastic. The support site is full of useful 'help yourself' answers and the system has been built with HR rather than IT in mind.

Cons

That we don't use more of the functionality on offer - there is a wealth of features and modules which I think would be useful to many businesses, unfortunately we just don't use them at the moment. I am hoping this will change very shortly.

Pros

The customer service is outstanding. We are a small company so implementing a system like this is a big deal for us- we were looking at simplifying operations as we currently use different systems for holiday booking, employee praise and expenses. I therefore had hundreds of questions to ensure that we were making the right decisions. The chat feature is extremely useful as you get a quick response to questions and do not have to leave the system to ask. Special thanks to customer service agent who has been very helpful even when I have been asking multiple questions on a daily basis!

The system is easy to use and has lots of great features which are really good value for money. I have looked at many other systems and this one definitely came out top for value for money, features and customer support.

Cons

Some of the settings are complicated to find and change- would be better if they were all in a centralized location- however once all set up this is a minor inconvenience.

The pulse surveys are a great addition- however it would be good if you could access this from the desktop site and also could have the option of making these anonymous.

The expenses section- we use Expensify currently- would be useful if you could scan receipts for information so the form auto fills as this is how it worked in Expensify but just a minor con.

Finally, we allow our employees to Swap their normal working days- would be good if there was a specific capability for this rather than adding as an event as this allows you to swap out and not guarantee that the employee has swapped out also.

Customer support is great. We ran the free trial before committing, and every question/query I had was answered promptly. I was even offered a video call to guide me through the functionality.

Pros

As a small company we had lots of different systems and spreadsheets for things like annual leave, overtime, sick leave etc. This was a management nightmare and we were always at risk of missing something or making a mistake with something. Now we have PeopleHR everything is stored in one tidy place, and the submission process for staff is much better.

Cons

At the moment, I haven't really found anything that I don't like. It takes time to set up and input your staff details, but that would be true with every HR system, and the interface is user friendly which helps.

Pros

I like how customer service is pretty on point and how a lot of data is available to you, when you take the time to learn about the system.

Cons

PeopleHR is not very flexible. For example: you cannot remove items from a self-populated drop-down if previous employees (leavers) still carry one of those items on their name. Or: department, salary and line manager is in 'personal' rather than in 'employment'.

Pros

Very quick workflows, great features that make HR related tasks much easier. Reports are very useful, and I love the fact that there's only 1 menu set for managers. No fuss.

Cons

It could be much fancier. It has a slightly dark background, I'd like it a bit more interactive. Had some difficulties with uploading staff photos.

The customer support team are absolutely brilliant, will help with walkthrough queries any time and are really knowledgeable when you ask them for help, extrememly professional and friendly at the same time in every interaction.

Pros

That it is always in development so will always improve
The features are extensive
the planner functionality is really user friendly

Cons

In set up it would be good if there is a configure to bespoke templates option based on common processes - e.g. new starter, leavers, probation reviews, contractual updates etc or if this can be revisited post set up once the system is up and running. to help with internal resource and delivery.
There should be some out of the box ripple templates to map to query for ease of set up
We wold really like an API for both Xero & Harvest to link to our payroll & time billing systems

Intuitive user interface. The planner is very useful to allow me to see when my staff are on leave. Integration of the planner with Outlook calendars is very useful. The ATS feature allows us to track vacancies and applicants through our recruitment campaign - something we didn't have in place beforehand

Cons

Built-in reports are useful (like overall holiday bookings) but don't allow you to click in to overall stats to get a breakdown (i.e. show outstanding holiday bookings by employee).
Also sometimes some error messages are not explained enough - for example until I contacted help via online chat (which was very good) it was unclear why a combination of holiday and other event bookings wasn't being accepted (turned out as it was half day to one and half day to another they had to end / start at 1:30 which wasn't clearly indicated)

People HR is great! It is user friendly, the support is first class, and amendments are regular and helpful. The user requests for changes are brilliant and often result in smoother experience for users and admin alike.
We are very happy with the system, and the price is great too!

Pros

Self Service - annual leave is managed by the staff now, saves hours!
Thanks - getting people to acknowledge their colleagues.
Ease of use, the App is now brilliant

Cons

Letter writing is slower than I would like

Pros

I really like their performance appraisal system and how it generates a 350 feedback. The organizational chart is also a neat feature to lay out the organization and all of our employees.

Cons

PeopleHR seems to be geared more towards companies in Europe or the UK. It was a little difficult navigating through the system. In addition, to personalize the program towards the company, PeopleHR requires data imports and integrations to be done by your company's own IT department.

Think you can tell I really love People HR, it makes my job as a HR Consultant so much easier having everything in one place.
I particularly like the queries facility, and probably use it everyday for something.
Also if I have a question I usually try the 'get help' tab but if I struggle the help desk guys are great too.

Pros

People HR is a very intuitive piece of software, its just so easy to operate.
We've watched it grow as our business needs change, not only can you use it for basic tasks like monitoring holidays and absence.
It is possible to run the full employee life cycle of an employee from recruitment via the ATS tab to monitoring the employee's progress via the progress tab.
We've recently used the facility to upload payslips to our system which will be a huge saving in stamps and stuffing envelopes!

Cons

Sometimes the queries facility baffles me, there are so many options, not really a con just a comment.

It's a great product and apart from the one negative I have, it's great! For everyday, HR needs this is a great and simple solution.

Pros

HR Policies uploads
Signatures Required for HR Policies or other documents including 1-2-1's
Easy to Use user interface - little training needed to use
News Dashboard is great for updates
Along with the reports you can run for the organisation

Cons

No in-built rota system. Running a 24 hour contact center makes it problematic to work on a system that operates Monday to Sunday including night shifts. However, found a work around, but it would be a better experience if everything was in built within the system
