Designed for small to mid-sized businesses, PeopleHR provides a platform for all key HR functions, including applicant tracking, personnel tracking, performance review, and more. The system includes an employee-tracking database, that allows users to create new employee records, fill in key contact information, and store documents. PeopleHR includes unlimited document storage, so users can attach as much paperwork as necessary to each employee profile.

Within the applicant tracking module of PeopleHR, users can create new job offerings, as well as build out a custom career page that matches the branding of a company’s site. Each job posting can be completely customized. Once a candidate applies, they’re added to the recruitment pipeline, and recruiters can view all candidate information.

Within the performance module, employees can request 360-degree reviews for receiving feedback from peers. Managers can set goals for employees, and track their progress in real time. The web-based solution can also be accessed from anywhere at anytime.

Pros

I really like their performance appraisal system and how it generates a 350 feedback. The organizational chart is also a neat feature to lay out the organization and all of our employees.

Cons

PeopleHR seems to be geared more towards companies in Europe or the UK. It was a little difficult navigating through the system. In addition, to personalize the program towards the company, PeopleHR requires data imports and integrations to be done by your company's own IT department.

Having used a number of HR Platforms, People HR is by far the best

Think you can tell I really love People HR, it makes my job as a HR Consultant so much easier having everything in one place.
I particularly like the queries facility, and probably use it everyday for something.
Also if I have a question I usually try the 'get help' tab but if I struggle the help desk guys are great too.

Pros

People HR is a very intuitive piece of software, its just so easy to operate.
We've watched it grow as our business needs change, not only can you use it for basic tasks like monitoring holidays and absence.
It is possible to run the full employee life cycle of an employee from recruitment via the ATS tab to monitoring the employee's progress via the progress tab.
We've recently used the facility to upload payslips to our system which will be a huge saving in stamps and stuffing envelopes!

Cons

Sometimes the queries facility baffles me, there are so many options, not really a con just a comment.

It's a great product and apart from the one negative I have, it's great! For everyday, HR needs this is a great and simple solution.

Pros

HR Policies uploads
Signatures Required for HR Policies or other documents including 1-2-1's
Easy to Use user interface - little training needed to use
News Dashboard is great for updates
Along with the reports you can run for the organisation

Cons

No in-built rota system. Running a 24 hour contact center makes it problematic to work on a system that operates Monday to Sunday including night shifts. However, found a work around, but it would be a better experience if everything was in built within the system

Overall its a great programme once you get comfortable using it , its a dream to use.

Pros

Easy access to all employee docs/info. Great to see all of the applicants who have applied for open vacancies.

Cons

That you cant copy and paste, you have to put in everything manually more chance of mistakes especially with tricky email addresses.

As a small charity, for a long time we needed an online comprehensive HR management system. People HR is now providing everything we need, with excellent back up support, online chat and a library of self directed solutions on video to guide you through the more complex elements of its functions.

Pros

This project is very comprehensive, when we tested it on trial, we thought it would be outside our price bracket. As as small charity affordability and functionality is key

Cons

It takes a while to get the hang of the queries/reports. I am unsure we would use the reports function

Easy for employees to use the basic functions which reduces management time.
Printable guides for most features.
Cost effective for smaller businesses.
Online support is really good.

Cons

Some admin features are a bit clunky due to hidden elements that aren't obvious and not shown on the guides (these were sorted by using the online chat)
There is no ability to change default settings on the 'Tasks' menu so that you can always hide completed tasks. This has to be selected every time you to into Tasks.
The ATS displays candidates after they've become employees. It would make more for them to disappear from the ATS screen as the ATS history displays on the new employees record.

I like how it is very simple and simplifies our HR function for a small business. Easy to set new people up and save important company HR documents. The support team are really great too and always try to come up with good solutions.

Cons

When you get into the nitty gritty it doesn't always let you do exactly what you need like the minutiae of holiday for part-timers.

Pros

It's ease of use and the support - every query I've had has been answered quickly. Staff have not needed training and it's made holidays etc very visible to them.

Cons

I find the report building a little complicated. When I set up a member of staff the login email seems to get sent to their junk file - would be good if it went straight to their inbox.

We have grown as a business with complex working patterns, salaries etc and this system isn't built for large organisations.

Pros

Easy to learn and understand it's capabilities, plus the support received via webchat or phones is really valuable.

Cons

It is a very basic system which is reliant on users controlling a lot of information (i.e. overtime, bank details, address) - as the system doesn't fully integrate with any payroll systems, this makes it quite difficult to manage data. The system doesn't seem to be very intelligent or progressive for a growing business.

I think the training matrix could be improved. I find the reports a bit clunky.
The 360 feedback should be separated from the Managers comments on the performance review. It's difficult to keep anonymity with the 360 and Managers comments all on the same page.

Nice system but limited. There are functions that could be expanded and become more flexible. Generally this system is sold as a simple product that will give a small business the basics but doesn't scale very well. If you want something more substantial and flexible or want to utilize data this may not be the system for you.

Pros

People HR is user friendly, looks good and simple to train staff, managers and admin in. It comes with an org chart with photos which is helpful but would be nice if this could be exported. Reporting is simple for general information. Task list is useful. Holidays and absence can be approved or declined without having to log which is a nice touch. Support is always available to help and staff are very friendly.

Cons

Not a great system if you want to use your HR data, reports are very simple and cannot be run for a certain period - for example, if I wanted to know the headcount at the end of last tax year it couldn't tell me. Address reports cannot be used for mail merge outside of the system without laborious manual manipulation. Task list is limited in that when an admin leaves the business their tasks cannot be reallocated without help for Support. There are notification emails that can go to managers but these cannot be tailored. When a person moves to part time hours the system will not automatically recalculate holidays in line with OTE.

I'm sure some of my cons can be resolved and further training on the system would improve my knowledge. People Hr has the potential to be a non corporate HR system but is in-between at the minute.

Pros

It provides a clear structure for a HR user to input employee data
It has the ability to group employee data from a wide range of sources and information to get a complete view of an individual
Sections such as the logbook are bespoke and can be edited to create your own forms and data capture
There are self service options so line managers and employees can update their personal data

Cons

It has limited complex reporting functionality, meaning i export CSV's to run reports externally from the system
It feels like a back end system and could benefit from a UI update for hiring managers and employees for the self serve options to drive adoption and useage
There is a chat function to ask questions from an online service team. There advice is good and helpful but very slow to respond. Feels less real time chat and more like an email function

People HR is a great system that is ideal for a large company. It has all the features and functionalities we require to understand data on a large scale. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to streamline their processes and ensure they have up to date and relevant information on their colleagues. No more missing paper trails, everything is recorded in one place. The support is unbelieveable as well, staff are super friendly.

Cons

It would be nice if they responded sooner on the chat function. Please try keep response times to less than 5 minutes

Cons

Pros

I really like the fact the platform is so simple to use. Our teams love the 'thanks' feature and we've gone from being a business that was paper-based to having a complete HRIS in a few simple steps - all with the super folks at People helping along the way. It also encourages our colleagues to be self-sufficient, making them feel more connected to the business. The reporting feature is also massively helpful and you can literally create a report for anything and everything.

Cons

I would love to see more features available on the app - that's not to say it's basic because it offers so much. Just in our business, many of our colleagues only use a mobile device meaning some of the features aren't so accessible.

Their Customer Service is excellent which makes all the difference. For the cost of this product it offers a lot in terms of functionality and customer service

Pros

I love the tasks feature, the training logbook, the ability for people to view their attendance / absenteeism, annual leave entitlement. I also love the ability to build letter templates in the system for increment / appraisal letters. Also love the reporting on who has outstanding items and the general reporting. People HR are constantly updating, improving and are also very good at communicating the changes to their customers.

Cons

The android apps don't seem to work as well as the iOS apps. The time sheets would be better if you could view the clock in /clock out per week in one screen

Very friendly customer support team. Very user friendly. The start-up key is that administrators get familiar with the access level and such very well after understanding the feathers and functions via introductory sessions.
Place for general company information and forms; onboarding of new employees that are off-site; automated time off requests/approval; data and set or custom reports at your fingertips and will convert to excel with click of a button! Track turnover; very easy to give access to certain people or give people only access to certain documents.
Easy to use and the help online is extraordinary! The on line videos and information is great and if you cant find what you need its easy to send an email and their response has always been within 2 hours and spot on!

Cons

This is a tough one, since it's difficult to come up with something that doesn't work, or doesn't have a solution in the works. Maybe the mobile capability could be improved may be an app would be a good idea :)
Overall, is this a very minor, infrequent problem.
