UI and UX is very user friendly with flexibility to generate adhoc reports without much of an effort. It also assist in taking data driven business decisions using its cutting edge analytics.

The implementation was not that smooth and the team overseeing it from ADP was not good.

Recommendations

One should discuss the implementation SLAs at the time of signing the contract. It is very critical especially for small and medium enterprises. Also, expect to face a lot of issues with system due to regular updates as the system is still evolving.

It gives a lot of freedom to employees. Employees can check their time sheets, leave balances, appraisal and payroll related information. They can also know what roles are currently vacant and apply right from this system.

Likes Least

Few employees have reported that certain functions don't work when opened in Firefox browser. The mobile app exists only for Apple devices with a limited functionality. There is no module for skill development and employee development.

Recommendations

Anyone looking for a cloud based HR solution should consider ADP Vantage HCM but should not just get impressed by the features. The solutions is fairly new and will take sometime to mature. So, decision should be taken based on a lot of research about the solution and business requirements.

The solution still does not have mobile applications for Windows and Android devices. At times, there is no proper change management at their end and changes have been implemented without intimation and proper testing causing a lot of trouble.

Recommendations

ADP vantage HCM makes the lives of employees and HR department easier.Also , it helps management get a complete view of the employee productivity along with other business metrics. Being competitively priced, it is definitely an option worth considering.

It helps us identify the employees who are about to leave so that we can take corrective actions to retain those employees. It also helps us identify attrition drives and better plan the recruitment pipeline.

Likes Least

The product still needs to improve and incorporate the support for various Global Financial Standards. Businesses which operate in different geographies have to comply with different Financial reporting and Taxation standards. If Vantage HCM can automatically adapt to those changes, it will be great.

Recommendations

Though it is not mandatory to implement all the modules of ADP Vantage HCM, I believe for best results one must go for all the Vantage HCM modules.

ADP Vantage HCM allows me to access my payslips, tax forms and investment declarations from a single portal.I can print various bonafide certificates right from the portal without bothering anyone from the HR department. This has enabled me to perform a lot of tasks without depending on anyone else.Moreover, mobile applications allow me to approve the time sheets of my team members even when I am out of office.

There is a lot of scope of improvement with Vantage HCM. It should make some changes automatically when a certain field is updated or at least recommend the changes. For example, if an employee is moving to a different state and when the State is updated in the HR system, tax related calculations should automatically get updated. This does not happen currently.

Recommendations

ADP Vantage HCM integrates all the major areas of HCM function. For small companies, this means less number of IT people are required to make different systems for each function integrate. This allows small and medium businesses to focus more on their core competency rather than HR functions. Further, being a SaaS solution, it is relatively cheaper than an on-premise solution.

The UI for all the modules is very intuitive and is kept similar for all the modules so that one does not need to get accustomed to different UIs for different tasks. The system is very flexible and scalable and allows reports to be configured as per the requirements. The presence of a mobile application also makes it easy for employees to connect to HR systems outside of office network while on the go.

ADP vantage HCM does not allow employee names to be of more than 32 characters which is an issue especially for MNCs who might have employees with longer names in certain geographies.

Recommendations

The Vantage HCM is definitely feature rich suite for HR solutions. But another thing to keep in mind is that it is still vulnerable to all the drawbacks of any cloud based solution. So, I would advise to go through the security protocols they deploy in detail depending on how critical your data is.

ADP Vantage HCM seems to be a very smart solution which auto suggests a lot of logical actions. In case, an employee is getting promoted to a new position, it automatically recommends to add people who report to him, change various roles and permissions is talent management and other systems,etc. With a lot of different modules linked together, it reduces a lot of manual effort.

The customer service is not up to the standards. We have faced issues with customer service while implementation. Their people overseeing the implementation did not seem to have an in-depth know-how of the solution.

Recommendations

I would suggest anyone looking for ADP vantage HCM as the complete solution for HCM lifecycle to start with module by module implementation rather than a big-bang approach. My implementation experience was not satisfactory.

The solution is cloud based which helps increase the productivity of employees and managers as time sheets can be filled and approved from anywhere while on the go as well. It also offers its APIs so that companies can integrate ADP vantage HCM modules with their existing enterprise solutions.

ADP Vantage HCM is not very flexible to be customized.Customizing the reports is not very intuitive and requires considerable experience with the solution. It provides mobile support but the mobile application currently support iOS only.With a large number of employees on Android devices, the mobile application use gets really limited in our enterprise.

Recommendations

It is an intelligent end to end software suite which can manage all processes of an HR function. We have experienced continuous uptime except a few cases which validates the use of cloud based solutions for critical business functions. Small and medium sized companies who are looking for a smart HR solution at a decent price should definitely consider ADP Vantage HCM.

The best part is one can chose whatever module it needs and the module is designed so that it can be seamlessly integrated with the existing applications from other vendors.

The system updates and upgrades cause a lot of issues with critical files leading to payroll processing issues. Also, there have been many instances when the system was down.

Being a cloud based solution hosted on ADP servers, the entire HR department is dependent on the internet connectivity for any productive task. Also, there have been instances of downtime from ADP end when the service was not up and running. There is no mobile application for Android and windows based devices.

Recommendations

ADP Vantage HCM offers a large set of software solutions seamlessly integrated with each other but being a cloud based service provider one might be a bit skeptical about the uptime it is able to provide. Also, make sure that complete support and documentation is provided at the time of deployment and in normal operations.
