TimeForce by Infinisource is a time and attendance software solution that helps schedule and track employees and accurately process payroll and is suitable for small businesses or a large enterprises.

It eliminates the risk of “time theft” and “buddy punching” while simultaneously reducing errors and potential overpayment. Users can collect employee time through several methods including time clocks, a Web browser or a cell phone or PDA. Users can also track time from multiple locations, like their home or second office.

Easy to use time management software for employees. It helps with attendance data and reduce chance of getting wrong data. The software has a lot of options to manage the data easily and we can review historical data as well. The reporting is good and we review that with employees as needed.

The calendar feature looks old and can be improved with modern JQuery calendars.

Recommendations

To manage attendance, this software can be used by any organization. It does not cost much and helps out reviewing the data for HR and payroll management.

The only reason I did not rank this product a 10 is because I have not used all of the other Employee time clocks out there, but Timeforce is pretty high up there in my book. I enjoy not having to stand at the front desk and check in, here I can log in from my computer with ease. The best aspect would definitely be the ability to actually view my previous clock-ins which gives me peace of mind.

If anything, I would say the private information that can be seen on the view screen but this can be simply adjusted in options.

TimeForce is easy to use and our transition to staff using it was relatively painless. TimeForce has pretty good technical support.

Sometimes the wait time for phone support can be lengthy. Some tech support staff are to aggressive with the changes they want to make to "fix the problem" and cause other issues.

Recommendations

Not a fan of the product at all! It sounded great with the sales pitch but once I actually delved into the system, it was a disappointment.

I was sold on this software by Qqest who use to be our payroll agency. I was disappointed with the program because the program came in a package with features I did not need nor use. I could not customize nor tailor these features at all. There are lots of bugs in the system and customer service seems to blame all on user error. I would not recommend this product.

Recommendations

Read reviews on this product and take them all with a grain of salt. Sales does a great job of selling the product but once you buy the product you're basically on your own.

It is simple to use and I really like how if I am in a hurry I can add an employee with very little information and then go back later and add the detail. I always receive the best and fastest service from the start of every phone call to the end.

There are a couple minor things that I wish were more flexible, then again if my boss was more flexible it wouldn't be an issue :-)

This is my first job doing payroll, which is not my favorite, but by using the bio-metric time clocks with this software it has made tracking time a lot easier and more accurate.

User friendly, easy to use, easy to read. Our employees have nice access to their information. Payroll reports are good. Great value for a cash strapped industry as well. Tech support is superior to other software support I have had to use.

Report to print feature is not quite what I would like. Small print on reports if in IE. Firefox is better but I don't like Firefox. Could be settings that I haven't figured out.

This software has one merit... the security principals practiced are pentagon level. Your employees will have to type about 5 times the information into their phone or computer as they do to login to their online banking. I can login to my online banking app with about 20 key presses. This app requires more than 40. Passwords are enforced with a complexity that leads to numerous support calls for lost passwords. This would be well and good if the system actually allowed you to access some sort of sensitive data... however the mobile app allows you to punch in and out ONLY with no provision for actually seeing your recorded time. So yes, fort knox security principals that are so onerous your users will HATE you. The app existed in version 3.x before they added an option to save your login name and company id... I have typed my user name and company code hundreds of times during our roll out. This has been addressed now... in version 4. Think about that for a moment. Your company code is a random string your employees will need to remember. The format is X9999999 at least in our case. So yeah, tell your common laborer he must remember C4585209 or something similar to use your time clock... as well as his login name and password.

The software is at best broken. The development team are slightly above high school level. The support is non existent. You will be told they will fix it in the next version. The phone app does NOT work on all phones. The login screen is "cut off" on smaller screens and there is no way to swipe down to see the login button. No workaround exists as you cannot press the off screen button. NO support. The phone app also does not allow an employee to view their recorded hours. This leads to numerous punches as they believe it did work. Server connectivity issues are very common. Be prepared to "fix" timecards for employees every single day. The check stub viewing app, while integrated into the mobil app, requires the use of a completely different login and stupidly complex password. You WILL be getting calls every week when your employees get locked out because they forgot their password or used the punch login for the paystub side. When this happens, you cannot simply reset the password... no you must send them a system generated email and they have to go through the process of choosing a password and secret questions all over again. Again, I can get into my online banking software MUCH easier. If you expect this software to work with mobile employees think again. Unless they have access to an actual computer they will not be able to see their timecard or paystubs. Your employees WILL HATE YOU if you force them to use this. We are limping this pile of garbage software to the end of our construction season and migrating to a new solution over the winter break. We have lost employees because of this software. The software forces the employees mobile device to use "system time" which is good but it does NOT force the use of GPS when punching. An employee can simply turn off location services before he punches and you have no idea if he was sitting in bed or at the job site.

Recommendations

Find out EXACTLY what you need. If you have users that will punch into a computer terminal each time, software like this may work for you. If you have mobile users, make sure the app will work on ALL devices. Make sure its easy for a non savvy user. A guy who mans a shovel for a living may not be able to do what your IT staff can. Make sure you bring field users into the evaluation process and use your most difficult "old school" employee to do so. EXPECT your employees to try to cheat the system as well. Have some people try to cheat and see how easy it is. DO NOT let your IT staff and payroll department choose the software. EVALUATE the software on how easy it is for the USERS to work with. Your IT and payroll staff can be trained and really should already comprehend software like this. Your labor and common employee are going to be the problem.

Easy to log in and since there is no help or assistance available to the employee, it's probably good that it's fairly easy to figure out how to punch in and out.

Several of the action items appear to be links but when you click on them, you reach a page that doesn't exist.
There is no "Help" function for the employee. So, it's impossible to tell how to do things like enter a time manually. Then, it won't let you verify your time without having all of the in/out punches in the right place and time

Recommendations

It would be a good idea to have several of your employees actually use this system before you buy or commit. You will likely find that even if you have to pay a little bit more, you will be better served to go elsewhere.

The product is Alpha level software. Lots of bugs, support is lacking. If you are using to import to Quickbooks forget about them helping with it expect to be on the phone with Quickbooks support to troubleshoot there import.

Keep looking. Look at online reviews for a product. If it does not have at least 2 stars keep moving on. Don't expect a product to be perfect but at least look for somebody that tries to improve not just sell you 3 bags full and not deliver.
