It's intuitive, but when it breaks, it is hard to figure out what is going on and if it's hung up or not.
We can use the training documentation content management portion, but the video solution is useless.
It's a poor product with no fixes from the product team to make it fully functional.
It took more than a week to get a response from their technical team, and then there was no fix or timeframe for a fix.
The cost is low, but we are canceling, as the value is not there.
The customer service and reliability of the product were awful. The web solution was down often.
Give it an extensive test drive before you buy. Trying uploading and changing content.

The platform is unique, and user guides are very limited.
Reliable access to the platform became an issue and was never resolved. Technical support spent every session trying to evaluate the browser platform; however, performance was unreliable for Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome browsers.
This is probably the most mature product in its space.
Before May, most of our support was provided from New Zealand, which was 12 hours behind us and almost exclusively by email. It was difficult to communicate or demonstrate the issues we were having.
The platform is mature and has all of the functionality that employers need to evaluate and develop staff. It's the most sophisticated product in its space. Other products that we have looked at as an alternative could not deliver the same functionality.
Customer support is very weak. We were unable to access the platform reliably. CSB did not appear to have the resources or will to correct the problem. In some cases, it would take multiple tries over a 1-2 hour period to access the system. It was never solved before our subscription expired.
Before May 2014, calls to the US help desk were answered with the response "no one is available to take your call, please call again or log a case". I complained to the point that they implemented a voicemail system.
Documentation on how to use the product is very weak. It requires a team of people who can dedicate substantial time learning how to use the product and developing internal documentation. It requires a dedicated help desk.
Implementation was slapdash. The trial period data was not purged from the system, and there was no evidence that the team that configured the system performed quality control on their work.
Have a dedicated team who will use the product extensively in the trial phase so that product documentation is well-established before contracting for a subscription. The support may be much higher during the testing phase because the company is sales-driven. They have every incentive to respond before the contract is written.

Generally very good. We have a mild issue fitting our goals into the CSB framework.
Exceptional. It's always up and running. It's well-designed, and the analysis element is brilliant.
They strive to please, every time. I appreciate always having someone answering when I call.
Takes some effort to set up, but once it's done, this product streamlines the generally burdensome annual review process.
It would be helpful as a manager to be able to set/amend goals for all employees downstream on the organizational chart (limits this access to direct reports only).
Check out the ability to do 360 level reviews. Easy and informative. Also, the review looks at personal and organizational level goals like teamwork and how well the employee lives and exhibits our corporate culture.

Cornerstone CSB has been a paramount part of the overhaul we are doing of our HR process. We purchased the platform 8 months ago, and have done a review cycle already with great success. The best thing I can say about Cornerstone CSB is the quality of the support service. They have been available to answer questions and help me configure and customize the system to my needs. I am an HR director, but the CEO and executive team in general were aware that reviews needed to be made functional in order to help increase revenue and hold on to good employees.
