TSheets is a web-based time tracking software solution that helps owners and managers keep track of employees in real-time from their desk or on the go.

TSheets provides mobile time tracking for employees who either work remotely or change locations or jobs regularly. Employees use their own devices, such as smartphones, computers, mobile apps, text messages or land lines to clock in and out.

This system helps users set up overtime alerts for employees, which can help inform managers before expensive overtime starts. Alerts can be sent to employees, administrators or managers via text message, email or twitter.

TSheets offers labor expenses management with detailed and accurate reporting of all labor expenses, including PTO, overtime and regular time.

TSheets also provides customizable filters that help capture the exact timesheet information sorted by employee, project, date, group, job code and payroll period. Mobile apps are available for Android and iOS.

Pros

Cons

Pros

Best Time and Attendance software I have seen. Matches up perfectly with my payroll vendor and customer service is superior.

Cons

The set up was a little confusing, but your customer service helped during the critical times. Would liked more setup videos to setup between the payroll vendor and TSheets.

This app is very easy to use and the staff at T sheets are amazing. Overall I am very pleased with this app.

Cons

At first it can be a little difficult in editing a timesheet. Some of my employees messed up their time in the beginning by forgetting to clock out and trying to fix it was a little confusing at first.

I had an integration question and was lucky to have rep answer all my questions. She was cheerful, knowledgeable and very helpful.

Pros

The amount of detail that can be added to the mobile time sheets; the reports that can be downloaded; the scheduling module is good but could use a little more work.

Cons

I haven't found a way to archive old jobs that are closed. Our EEs see every job we have ever opened and the list is getting very long.

I emailed TSheets for help and immediately received a phone call (that I couldn't take at the time), followed up by an email. When I did return the call Customer support representative was super helpful with getting me information and suggestions to troubleshoot some minor issues we were having.

Pros

MOBILE! Easy for employees to use in the shop or in the field. Reports are fantastic for project audits. Saves time during payroll processing.

Cons

This more of a suggestion: I'd like to upload our own sound files for the different "alarms/ alerts" for the different functions.

I like PTO tracking and the reports I'm able to pull. It's fairly user friendly once you get used to it but I was able to teach myself for most.

Cons

We have 2 departments and you can't toggle over to another dept very easily. You have to sign off. Then close the tab and then reopen tab and then sign in to next department. I don't like that.

Personally, I only use TSheets to clock in and out of work and to check out how many vacation hours I have. Much better than other software our company has used.

Cons

The only complaint I can think of is sometimes it will not actually clock in/out and I don't notice until later. Not sure if that's a TSheets problem or an internet problem.

Customer support representative is a gem! We had to call support and luckily got to speak him. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and courteous. We had changed some of our GL accounts and did not realize it effected TSheets. He walked us through step by step how to correct. He was dialed into our computer while we made the changes. If he saw us making a mistake or skipping an employee he would immediately advise us. What could have taken days to get fix was done in a timely manner due to expertise and understanding of the software and how it syncs with QB. He followed up with us the following day as promised to make sure everything was fixed and working properly. I would love to have him on our team!

Pros

The ability to track time in relation to jobs and superb customer service/support. Great for auditing time on jobs.

Cons

We would like to be able to have any OT hours charged back to the day's/hours worked while on call.

Setup was a little confusing I had to call to get it straightened out both for my computer and for my smart phone.

Pros

That it accurately records your time, and you can add as may jobs or subsections as you like. I like to pop out box to show on your screen so you can easily clock in and clock out.

Cons

You still have to remember to clock in. You also have to clock out. Sometimes my computer will clock me in, which I will have to go in and correct.

Pros

I like its compatibility to with QuickBooks and that it is very easy to work within the programs itself as well.

Cons

I have not found anything that I do not like about it yet. Well, it would be nice to track the time of a 1099 employee that is not set up in QuickBooks as hourly or salary for client billing purposes.

Our small business was trying out a few different time-keeping apps, and Tsheets by far outranks the rest. I can follow-up on each employees' time easily. Tsheets syncs the hours with Quickbooks for each payroll. I can export the hours by each job for my records. TSheets can send notifications and reminders to every employee to submit their time or clock-in/out.

Cons

I wish it could print out the timesheet reports directly from the "Project Reports." Or before exporting the csv file, I could choose which columns I would need for it.

organization and time savings are the two biggest benefits

Pros

Overall ease of use is phenomenal! its extremely convenient, my employees love it. the cloud access is probably my favorite feature. being able to add and edit job codes from the mobile app is great! theres just so many things i love about the software that i cant begin with a review and keep it under 1500 words. in short i like the: compatibility with xero, square and others, i like the functions it can provide with scheduling, job reports etc. the pto is simple and easy to understand which is great. The customer service is absolutely out of this world. i think that might actually be my favorite part of the software. i cant thank you guys enough for putting such an emphasis on that end of things! in todays day and age its a lost service and dealing with tsheets support is always pleasant, easy and fast! very very refreshing!!

Cons

the cons i have are, certain functions are a little hard to get the hang of, for instance the overtime calculator and job costs function, i wish there was a way to add expenses to each employee such as insurance, social security, medicare etc so i could have an itemized list of what each job actually costs and what percentage of it is fixed costs and what can be trimmed or cut out. The complexity and highly indepth nature could be considered a con or a pro its a double edged sword really, i love all of the functions but i feel as though i need to take a class just to understand all of the functions and how to properly use them to make tsheets as effective as it can possibly be. so the in depth nature is fantastic if i were to take the time to train myself or pay to train an employee but a bit of a con when i dont exactly have a ton of spare time to train myself and budgets are tight due to re investing into the company tools and etc. i realize calling that a con is a bit of a stretch because it should be figured into company budget for training/reinvesting but a simplified version could be good or step by step tutorials for each individual function would help so i can train myself on what immedeately is important vs training on the entire software on some stuff i may never need/use. hope that helps! your software is amazing! keep up the fantastic work!!

The sync with QuickBooks decreases the time I spend doing payroll. Having the app helps the employees who are on the road and allows us to keep better track of their location as well. The employees love that they can submit and keep track of their PTO and see their hours for the week. All around a very efficient program.

Pros

I love how functional TSheets is with QuickBooks. It's really limited the time I spend on payroll. TSheets also has customer service unlike any other. The employees are always friendly and knowledgeable, without being scripted and robotic. Having such a natural conversation makes needing to call not something I dread, but look forward to. I have never had much of a wait time either, which is rare for any customer service experience. When TSheets needed to connect to my computer, I loved that a profile came up of the representative that I was speaking to. It truly personalized the experience for me. Keep up the good work!

Cons

The set-up can sometimes take a little bit of navigating, but no more than learning any new program.

I was having trouble updating my new admin from Employee to Admin Status on TSheets and kept getting an error. So I jumped on Live Chat and met our rep. When the problem persisted, he stayed with me, even setup a join.me and saw the problem on my end and immediately gave me a solution. He was wonderful -- everything a customer service rep should be. Good job TSheets! You have a winner in our rep!
